Rumor: HTC to unveil Windows Phone 8 devices in late September

In less than four weeks Nokia is going to hold their annual “Nokia World” event where it’s widely expected that the Finnish handset maker will unveil devices running Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 operating system. According to a report from the Chinese website WPDang, HTC is also going to show off some Windows Phone 8 hardware, though obviously not at Nokia’s event. They say HTC will hold two events, one in New York, the other in London, during the third week of September. At said events they’re going to show off between one and three Windows Phone 8 devices. Sony Xperia Tablet new images surface

New press images of the Sony Xperia Tablet has surfaced on XDA developers forum. This tablet passed through the FCC last month, and several slides of the tablet surfaced last week revealing the specs of the Sony’s upcoming tablet. Sony Xperia ion now available in India for Rs. 35999

Sony Xperia ion is now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. The LTE version was announced for AT&T at CES and released exclusively on AT&T in June. The HSPA version was announced in June. It has 4.55-inch (1280 x 720 pixels ) HD Reality display and comes with 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. The global HSPA version was supposed to run Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) according to the official site, but according to the Snapdeal site it runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). It has 12MP auto focus camera with Exmor R mobile camera sensor with 1080p HD video recording and LED flash and 1.3MP front-facing camera. Google Nexus 7 Unboxing

I was recently in the US on a short visit and managed to pick up the Google Nexus 7 first Android Tablet to run on Android 4.1 JellyBean. Here is a quick unboxing video of the this tiny little tablet from Google & Asus which is priced at $199 (excluding tax and shipping). This 7 inch tablet has a back-lit IPS display which sports a resolution of 1280×800 pixels

Evernote for iPhone and iPad v4.3 update brings easier editing and improvements

The Evernote app for iPhone and iPad have been updated to version 4.3 that brings new features including better editing that lets you edit a note just by tapping into the note’s body, better stability and improved performance and more. The editing features also keeps track of where you tap in the note and places the cursor in that spot. The Evernote v4.2 was launched in May. HTC Desire VC officially launched in India for Rs. 21,999

HTC has officially launched the Desire VC in India in partnership with TATA DOCOMO. It is a Dual SIM (CDMA EV-DO and GSM) phone . It went on sale from online retailers earlier this week. The specs are similar to the Desire V including, 4-inch (480 x 800 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, 1GHZ single-core processor.
