Micromax launched the first Bling phone back in 2010 and unveiled the Bling 2 A55 in 2011. Now the third phone in the Bling series, Bling 3 A86 has surfaced on online retail site Flipkart. According to the listing the phone would come with a 4-inch touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It is encrusted with Swarovski Zirconia crystals making it a premium smartphone. Intex Aqua i-5 Benchmarks

Intex launched the Aqua I-5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Aqua series last month. We brought you the unboxing of the device last week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589M processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has 1GB RAM and features a 5-inch qHD  (960 × 540 pixels) display. Let’s find out how the phone fairs up when compared to other Android smartphone in the similar range.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S4 Zoom (SM-C1010) along with the Galaxy S4 mini (GT-I9192) in India earlier this month. The S4 mini went on pre-order from the official Samsung India eStore last week. Now the Galaxy S4 Zoom is now available for pre-order. It has a 16-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor with 10x optical zoom, Optical Image Stabilizer (OIS) and Xenon Flash, 4.3 inch (960 x 540 pixels) qHD Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Now the company has announced that the game has crossed 50 million downloads in just over a month after its release. New Google Nexus 7 press image leaks ahead of announcement

The leaker @evleaks in back again with a press shot of the upcoming redesigned Google Nexus 7 made by Asus. The new Nexus 7 looks a lot thinner from the image but it is very hard to tell from the angle. You can see the front with the display with the onscreen buttons like on the current Nexus 7. On the rear you can see a relatively larger camera along with the Nexus branding. This is not the first time we are hearing about this product and it was leaked a lot in recent times.

ZTE Grand X Quad Lite with 5 inch qHD display launched in India for Rs. 14,999

Apart from five low to mid range smartphones that ZTE launched today, in India, the Chinese manufacturer has also revealed its flagship device. The flagship device, although falling in the similar mid range price bracket, has matching specs with the current crop of 5 inch devices that are doing the rounds in the market. Equipped with a 5 inch qHD screen and a quad core processor, ZTE hopes to peg this as the phone to get from its portfolio for the Indian consumers. That said, ZTE seems to really acknowledge the fact that in India, the volume is in mid range. Let us take a look at the specifications of the device then.

ZTE launches a range of low to mid end smartphones in India

ZTE has announced its arrival to the Indian market at an event in Mumbai today with an onslaught of a total of six devices and four 3G data cards. With these new devices, the Chinese mobile giant aims to capture some marketshare and mind share in the world’s second fastest growing smartphone market. While data has proven that the smartphone market is just a miniscule part of the whole mobile phone market in India, it is indeed growing faster than any other. This lucrative opportunity has provided us, the consumers with a lot of choices and that includes various Chinese companies like Gionee, Huawei, Lenovo and now ZTE. The company has launched four mid range devices in the Blade range as a part of their complete portfolio roll out.

With the announcement of the next version of Galaxy Note getting closer and closer, rumors continue to spread across the Internet. In the latest turn of events, Samsung has teased an updated Exynos 5 Octa SoC through their Twitter account. This updated Exynos 5 Octa is expected to feature in one of the variants of the Galaxy Note 3. The image posted by Samsung suggests an evolved SoC from the previous generation. According to the image, the already powerful Exynos 5 Octa is getting even more powerful and enhanced.

VLC media player for iPhone and iPad is back in the App Store

VideoLAN has the VLC media player back in the Apple iTunes Store after it was pulled out for unknown reason when it was launched back in 2011. Now the company has released it as a new app with the version number 2.0.1 that has been rewritten from ground-up. This brings new features including WiFi upload that would let you upload media to your iOS device over WiFi, Dropbox integration to browse files and folders to download media for offline playback. Xolo Q1000 vs Celkon A119Q Signature HD

Xolo launched the Q1000, the company’s latest flagship in the ‘Q CORE’ series back in May. Celkon had also launched the A119Q Signature HD, successor of the A119 Signature HD back in May. We review both the Q1000 and the A119Q recently since these had similar features such as 5-inch HD display, quad-core processor and Android 4.2.1 (Jelly Bean). Even though Xolo has come up with a Tegra 3-powered Xolo Play T1000, Celkon is yet to released their next flagship device. Both these devices are priced under Rs. 15,000.  We managed to compare both these devices.
