Nokia X is the first smartphone from the Espoo company running Android, and more importantly, Android apps. It was launched in India just a day back for a price of Rs. 8,599/-. “X” is symbolic in many ways. the company is now at the cross roads of a transition from being an independent company to being owned by Microsoft, the maker of software running on Nokia’s current smartphones. X is also the bridge between Nokia’s struggling smartphone business and its traditional feature phone business. McAfee has updated their Android and iOS apps, making its premium features such as app privacy, anti-theft features and much more for free. The app is targeted at making security a more integrated part of the Indian consumer experience, says McAfee India. It also offers in-app purchases, that lets you purchase premium account, that adds few more features such as 2GB of cloud storage, phone support and promo-free experience. Gionee, one of the popular Chinese smartphone manufacturers launched the Elife E7 in India at the end of last year. It went on sale across India recently. The company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Elife series features a 5.5-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It starts at Rs. 26,999, bit higher than their predecessor, the Gionee Elife E6, but it is cheaper when compared to other smartphones in similar range. The All new HTC One has all but been completely revealed at this point in time, but till now, we have never been able to get solid information on how the dual camera setup is going to work. Well, this new leak, a Telstra brochure acquired by the good folks at GSMArena, might shed some light on the “Duo Camera” setup that HTC is going for, in its latest flagship device. We all know how the 4 MP UltraPixel camera underwhelmed us after the initial excitement, but HTC seems to have worked out a solution and then more with this implementation that retains the UltraPixel’s advantages.

Sony has introduced Xperia Themes, a new feature to skin your Xperia smartphones and tablets as a part of Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) update. New theme changes Homescreen indicators, Volume bars, Navigation bars, Switches and also changes the wallpaper for the home screen and lock screen. The Xperia Themes work on top of Sony’s skin in Xperia devices, and offers over hundreds of graphical elements. The Idea Ultra II with 5.5-inch qHD display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The company launched the Idea Ultra smartphone back in October last year. Last month BitTorrent for Android got a major update, that brought UI refresh and new features, today uTorrent app for Android has been updated to version 2.03, that brings a new user interface, similar to the BitTorrent. Now you can select files to download, inside a torrent, choose download location and also delete the torrent alone or delete the files too, along with the torrent.
