HTC-built Nexus Tablet passes WiFi Certification?

HTC device codenamed flounder appeared twice in May. Rumors about the HTC-made Nexus tablet condemned Volantis surfaced in June. Recently a HTC tablet running Android L has been spotted at Wi-Fi Alliance website that is believed to be the upcoming Nexus tablet. According to the certification, it has Broadcom BCM4345 WiFi Chip with dual-band WiFi. It also shows 3 separate model numbers: 0P8210000, 0P8220000, and 0P823000. Gionee M2 to get Android 4.4 KitKat update on September 5 in India

Gionee has announced that it will roll out the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for its M2 smartphone on September 5th in India. It was launched back in February running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The company released Android KitKat update for the Pioneer P4 in India earlier this week. It rolled out KitKat update for the Elife E7 mini and Elife S5.5 smartphones in India few weeks back. Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 specs confirmed
The hardware specifications of the two edition of Samsung Galaxy Mega phablet was leaked just a couple of days ago. Today, we have received images of what looks like the AnTuTu benchmarking results of the upcoming Mega 2 smartphone.
The unit involved in the benchmarking carries the model number SM-G750F, which reveals that the device is one of the variants of the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2. Lava to launch selfie-focused X series smartphone

Lava launched the Iris X1, the first smartphone in the X series back in May. Today Lava has announced that it would launch a new smartphone with a wide-angle front camera with LED flash in the X series soon. Sony launched the Xperia C3, a similar selfie-focused smartphone with a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash recently. Lava did not reveal the resolution of the rear camera yet. Sony Xperia Z3 gets certified in China

Sony Xperia Z3 had already surfaced in live images. Specifications of the global variant of the Xperia Z3 (D6653) showed up last month. Now the Xperia Z3 L55t for China Mobile and L55u for China Unicom have been certified by TENAA. This reveals the dimensions of the smartphone as 146.5×72.4×7.35mm and weight as 158.4g. Intel teams up with Unity to expand Android support for x86 devices

Motorola is likely to discontinue its most popular Moto G smartphone in India, few weeks before the arrival of its successor. Flipkart is advertising as “Get yours before it’s gone! Last stock of Moto G 16GB” on its website, so this might be the last stock of the smartphone to be sold in India. Motorola reduced the price of both 8GB and 16GB variants of Moto G by Rs. 2,000 in India recently, due to huge competition from other manufacturers.
