HTC Nexus Tablet WiFi Certification

HTC device codenamed flounder appeared twice in May. Rumors about the HTC-made Nexus tablet condemned Volantis surfaced in June. Recently a HTC tablet running Android L has been spotted at Wi-Fi Alliance website that is believed to be the upcoming Nexus tablet. According to the certification, it has Broadcom BCM4345 WiFi Chip with dual-band WiFi. It also shows 3 separate model numbers: 0P8210000, 0P8220000, and 0P823000.

According to earlier rumors, the HTC-made Nexus tablet would come with a 8.9″ (2048 × 1440 pixels) (281ppi), NVIDIA Tegra K1 64-bit processor, 2GB RAM, 16/32GB internal storage, 8MP rear camera with Sony sensor, 3MP front facing camera, Stereo front-facing speakers and aluminium build. Some rumors that said it will come with 5GB RAM turned out to be fake. It will be 7.9mm thick and weigh 418 grams. It is expected to come in WiFi and LTE variants.

Some rumors suggested that the tablet would arrive in the third quarter of 2014, but Q3 is going to end this month. Google is also expected to unveil the Motorola-made Nexus smartphone codenamed Shamu with a Quad HD display and Snapdragon 805 processor soon.
