Rumors about the Sony Xperia Z3 (D6653) started few weeks back. Earlier this month a screenshot from the smartphone revealed the model number, Snapdragon 801 processor, 1080p display and Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS. Now @evleaks has revealed more details about the smartphone. According to the leak, the smartphone would feature a 5.15-inch 1080p display, 20.7-megapixel rear camera with Sony G lens and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera.

This doesn’t seem like a major upgrade, compared to the Xperia Z2 that was launched earlier this year. It would come with 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory. This might also feature expansion slot and IP55 / IP58 rating for dust and water resistance, according to earlier rumors. The battery capacity is still a mystery.

Live images of the Xperia Z3 surfaced last week that showed off more curved in the edges than its predecessor, but we are yet to see the press render of the Z3. It passed through FCC few days back that confirmed LTE, NFC and an IR blaster It is expected to be unveiled at IFA 2014 in September.
