HTC has finally started rolling out Android 5.0.1 (Lollipop) update for the HTC Desire 816 users in India. The HTC One M8 got the Lollipop update in India earlier this year and the One M7 got the update in India in March. HTC is yet to roll out Lollipop update for the Desire 820 smartphone in India, but it is expected to get the update soon. Check out the change log. Bleep, a secure messaging app has been launched by BitTorrent on all major platforms. In addition, the app has added a new ephemeral feature especially for iPhone app. The app allows users to communicate without providing a contact number, email or username by using company’s P2P technology.

Facebook has rolled out Instant Articles that will allow a number of publishers to post their articles directly to the social networks iOS app. The social network has tied up with publishers like The New York Times, National Geographic, BuzzFeed, NBC and The Atlantic; the UK’s The Guardian and BBC News, and Germany’s Spiegel and Bild.

Spice Fire One Mi-FX2, the second Firefox OS smartphone from Spice is now available from Saholic. Sony has announced Xperia A4 (SO-04G) for NTT Docomo in their 2015 Summer lineup. The Sony Xperia Z1f (SO-02F) was released as Z1 Compact and the Xperia A2 (SO-04F) was released as the Xperia Z3 Compact last year, so the Xperia A4 might launch as Xperia Z4 Compact soon. The Xperia A4 has a 4.6-inch (1280 x 720pixels) Triluminos Display, is powered by 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). Google has expanded its Android One program to Turkey, which becomes the seventh country to get Android One smartphones officially after India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
