Intel has joined hands with US based footwear maker New Balance to work on an Android Wear powered smartwatch that is particularly aimed at athletes. The smartwatch is said to enable runners to “focus on their training so they can constantly improve performance.”

Huawei announced the Mate 8 smartphone for the global market at the on-going Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The device carries the same form factor of the Nexus 6P, which is also built by Huawei but has a huge 6-inch display.

Huawei has sent out press invites for the launch of Honor 5X smartphone on January 28th. It is the successor of one of the most popular Honor 4X smartphone that was launched in India last year. The teaser image shows the smartphone’s unibody metal build, rear camera sensor and the fingerprint sensor below the camera. The teaser has a caption Faster Better Stronger to mention that it has a faster processor with more RAM, better design and a stronger metal build compared to its predecessor, the Honor 4X. Toshiba had announced the 12 inch DynaPad 2-in-1 Windows tablet in October last year after it was showcased at IFA in September. Now the company has announced the availability of the tablet.
Asus today launched Eeebook E402 and Eeebook E205SA, its latest affordable notebooks in the EeeBook series running Windows 10 in India. The Eeebook E402 is an affordable 14-inch compact and lightweight notebook and the Asus Eeebook E205SA is an entry level convertible notebook that comes in 360 degree flip form factor with a sensitive touch display and USB Type-C port. Google has released its Android distribution data for the month of January. Android Lollipop adoption is soaring every month and is now present on 32.6% of Android devices that is up from 29.5% since December.

ZTE today announced Grand X3 and Avid Plus, two new smartphones for the U.S. carriers at the CES 2016. The Grand X3 is a budget smartphone with 4G LTE support, USB Type-C and a huge 3,080mAh battery, while the Avid Plus is an entry-level smartphone. Both these run Android 5.1.1 (Lollpop). Casio has announced WSD-F10, the first rugged Android Wear smartwatch at the CES 2016. Apart from water resistance up to 50 meters, this is also built to military standard specifications (MIL-STD-810G) so that it can withstand a variety of rugged activities. It has dedicated apps designed to measure changes in the natural environment and track activity levels. It has a 1.32-inch (320 x 300 pixels) dual layer display with monochrome and color LCDs. Huawei has unveiled two new Android Wear powered smartwatches that are specifically designed for women. Dubbed as Jewel and Elegant, both the watches sport a 1.4″ circular AMOLED display.
Huawei had announced the G8 smartphone in the G Series at the IFA last year. Now the company has introduced same phone as the GX8 for the US at the CES 2016. To remind you, the smartphone packs a 5.5-inch 1080p screen, is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core Snapdragon 616 SoC, runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Huawei Emotion UI 3.1, has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 10.1-inch Full HD IPS display, is powered by a 2GHz Kirin 930 64-bit Octa-Core processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Emotion UI 3.1 on top. Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OTA update for the Moto X Play smartphone in India. Motorola rolled out the Android Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year. In an interview last month, Amit Boni, general manager of Motorola India confirmed that Motorola will roll out Marshmallow update for the Moto X Play in India soon.
