Lava today launched Ivory M4, the company’s latest tablet in the Ivory series. It has a 8-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) HD display, is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has an 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash and a 3.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has single SIM support and has 3G connectivity. LG started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for its flagship LG G4 smartphone starting from Poland back in October. Now the Korean giant has started rolling out (Via) Android Marshmallow update for the LG G3 smartphone starting from Poland. It is currently available only via PC Suite, and the OTA update is expected soon. The smartphone got the official CM13 nightly builds based on Android 6.0 last month. HTC launched the One A9 smartphone in India earlier this month for Rs. 29,990. We brought you the benchmarks of the smartphone recently, here we have its battery test results. The HTC One A9 packs a 2150mAh built-in battery, which is less than 2840mAh battery on the One M9 and the One M9+ smartphones. Earlier this month, it was reported that JDI is in talks with Apple to provide OLED displays for iPhones in 2018. Now, a fresh report from Electronic Times citing some unnamed sources (via Reuters) is saying that LG and Samsung will supply organic light emitting diode (OLED) screens for Apple Inc’s iPhones.

Google has confirmed that it is biding adieu to Oracle’s proprietary Java application programming interfaces (APIs) for its next iteration of Android. The company is switching over to OpenJDK for Android N which was first spotted by users on Y Combinator’s Hacker News and confirmed by Venturebeat later.

Even though this looks like the successor of 8X-1000 that was launched last year, most of the specifications of the smartphone are similar to the 8X-1000, including a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, 1.4 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor with Mali 450 GPU, Android 4.4 (KitKat)-based HIVE UI, 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Kult, a new entrant in the Indian market launched its Kult 10 smartphone earlier this month for Rs. 7,999. We brought you the unboxing and benchmarks of the smartphone recently, here we have the camera samples from the smartphone.
