Microsoft has announced many new accessibility features that coming to Windows 11 at its Accessibility Summit 2022 keynote. The company is apparently preparing Windows 11 22H2 for RTM this month, and it is now nearing general release. Among the new features are a more immersive Focus experience, system-wide live captioning, more efficient voice access tools, and more realistic Narrator voices. Most of these new features to make Windows more accessible have already been tested by Windows Insiders in the Dev and Beta Channel versions. After launching Android 13 beta 1 for supported Pixel smartphones last month, Google has begun sending out the first beta of Android TV 13 to developers to get them started with the firm’s latest TV platform. The Android 13 TV doesn’t quite visually differ significantly from the Android TV 12. Mishaal Rahman, Esper’s Senior Technical Editor, says that the first beta update doesn’t include features that have already been revealed, like a better picture-in-picture mode or Fast Pair integration. According to reports, Google is clamping down on third-party call recording apps for Android devices. As of May 11, third-party apps will no longer be able to offer the call recording ability. One such change has been made to the Google Play Store, one of which aims to eliminate call recording apps on Android. YouTube Shorts creators will now be able to use video clips from billions of YouTube clips in new shorts. Earlier, creators of YouTube Shorts could only splice short audio clips from other videos on the platform. Users will be able to clip 1- to 5-second portions from eligible long-form videos, as well as “Shorts” to use in new short-form content with the most recent update.
