Google launched their Gmail app for iPhone earlier this month, but removed it soon since it had notification bug that displayed an error message. Aircel launching the iPhone 4S in India on Nov 25th

Aircel has now announced a date for it’s iPhone 4S launch. The operator just shared on it’s Facebook page that it is launching the iPhone 4S in India on Nov 25th. Yesterday Aircel and Airtel announced they are launching the iPhone 4S in India soon.

We guess Aircel (and Airtel) might announce their pricing ( and weird money back plans ) on the 25th. We don’t have any details about the pricing but should have some info soon. The iPhone 4S packs a Dual Core CPU , 8MP Camera with Full HD video recording and the interesting virtual assistant Siri. Looks wise its almost same as the previous iPhone – the iPhone 4. The device runs on iOS 5 which is the latest operating system for iPhone , iPad and iPod touch.

Unlocked Apple iPhone 4S now shipping from Apple Store in the US

When Apple launched the Apple iPhone 4S last month , it also announced it’s plans to sell factory unlocked versions in November which could be purchased without the need for a contract. Today , the Apple Store in the US is taking orders for the Unlocked iPhone 4S which starts at US$ 649 for the 16GB , $749 for the 32GB and $849 for the 64GB. Just a reminder that most states in the US charge a sales tax so the final price at the time of check out might be  slightly higher. Airtel launching iPhone 4S in India soon

Like Aircel , Airtel India has also announced on it’s Facebook page about it’s plans to launch the Apple iPhone 4S in India soon. As of now only Airtel and Aircel are the official operators authorized by Apple to sell the iPhone 4 in India. So this news is not very surprising. But then for those of you who have been waiting for the iPhone 4S to launch in India, good news ! We are not sure if Apple will get the pricing right though !

Aircel launching the Apple iPhone 4S soon in India

Aircel India just announced on it’s official Facebook page earlier today that it is bringing the Apple iPhone 4S to India soon. The company would be sharing more details about the launch soon. There are no details about the pricing or the plans but expect it to be similar to the iPhone 4 Pricing with a slight premium. First OTA update for iOS – 5.0.1 now rolling out to iPhone , iPad and iPod Touch

Looks like Apple finally has an answer for the battery issue surrounding the iPhone 4S. Apple has released the first Over-the-Air update for all iOS devices running on iOs 5 such as the iPhone 3GS, 4 , 4S, iPad , iPad2 , iPod Touch ( 3rd gen and 4th Gen). The update is available Over-the-air meaning you won’t have to download a 700 odd MB file and use iTunes to update your device. In fact I have managed to update 2 iPhones and an iPod touch in a matter of minutes as the OTA update was just 44.6 MB for my iPhone.It would have taken to few hours or days required to download few GBs of files normally. The mysterious story of the Apple iPhone 4S not working in India

If you are one amongst consumers who had purchased the iPhone 4S from outside India and were facing issues getting it to work here , good news for you. Many users including me were seeing no signal bars on the iPhone 4S in India. Calls and SMS were not working.Surprisingly 3G data was working fine on most operators including Airtel , Vodafone and BSNL. I had tried using some international SIM cards such as AT&T, T-Mobile , O2 UK, 3 UK, SmarTone (HK). Google Translate for iPhone now supports 5 Indian languages

Google Translate for iPhone has been updated to version 1.2.0 that brings 5 new Indian language support the include, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu. This feature is already available for the Google Translate for desktop and the web app since June. The Google Translate for iPhone was launched earlier this year and has received some minor updates since then. With the new addition, the app now supports text translation among 63 languages, voice input in 17 of those languages, and text-to-speech in 24 of them. Opera has launched their latest Opera Mini 6.5 with Data Usage view and bookmark import for iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian S60 and Java Phones. The Opera Mobile 11.5 browser is now also available on Symbian S60. The Data Usage view keeps count of how much data you are spending and saving in total, or for a specific time frame. It is said to save 90% of data cost. The Opera Mini and Mobile for Android was launched last month. Garmin launches Garmin Fit app for Android and iPhone and ANT+ adapter

Garmin has launched their Garmin Fit app that would let the users track metrics such as speed, pace, distance, time, calories of their activities such as running, cycling and lots more. With the help of Garmin accessories it displays heart rate and cadence. It also maps and automatically uploads workouts to Garmin Connect. They have also launched their ANT+ adapter for iPhone allowing users to use their Garmin ANT+ accessories with their iPhone. Apple iPhone 4S Singapore Prices Out

Looks like Apple is all set to launch the iPhone 4S in more countries on October 28th. The pre-order pages for the countries part of the Oct 28 launch went up few hours ago. Amongst those countries , the only country in Asia is Singapore where Apple products are normally priced similar to the United States. Here we have news of the Singapore prices of the iPhone 4S. Prices start from 948 SGD for the 16GB version , 1088 SGD for the 32GB version and 1238 SGD for the 64GB version.This works out to about Rs.38000 approx for the 16GB version , Rs.42500 approx for the 32GB version and Rs.48400 approx for the top-end 64GB variant.  you might also have to pay GST or a Sales Tax in addition to the above price.  From the pricing , one can assume that the device is sold unlocked  but we don’t have confirmation of that.But the product family page  mentions the word unlocked.The part number for the basic version is MD235ZA/A.
