Google Nexus One vs HTC Desire – Photos

We have seen the Google Nexus One and the HTC Desire separately. Now we found a photo gallery which shows both these Android phones side by Side. As you can see in the pics, the HTC Desire sports the famous HTC Sense UI which is missing on the Nexus One. Also the trackball on the N1 is replaced by the optical trackpad on the Desire. Also the touch sensitive keys on the N1 get physical keys on the Desire. We know a lot of users might prefer the Desire over the N1 from our previous coverage. But we ask again Nexus One or Desire ? iRobot Android Tablet aka APad Photos and Video

Thanks to the phenomenal response to the APad post and thanks to user Jean from France who has shared Photos and Video of the iRobot / APad with us. The APad is running on Android 1.6 and is reportedly having a battery life of around 3-4 hourson WiFi.  Not bad at all for a really cheap iPad clone. Enjoy the pics and video after the break

What speaks for the Sony Ericsson X10 ?

The Sony Ericsson X10 – a stylish, rather big Smartphone, that is supposed to save Sony Ericsson from a possible Disaster. At least thats how i felt, when i went to the Press Conference in Vienna, Austria in November 2009. I was lucky enough to score an Invite from their Press Department, and after seeing first Videos on the Internet i was .. excited? nervous? drooling? Pick whatever you like.

I had a very short Hands on Time with an early Prototype back then and it felt good. The Software needed some more Work and there were some Things that made it feel like a Prototype, but now I’m back with a Retail Unit and yes, i was very eager to try it once again and see how it performs in real Life. I’m going to break the X10 down in another good Thing/bad Thing Series, with Observations I made in the Time i had it. I was told that the Requests of X10’s are extremely high, so I’ll try to make the very Best of the Time i have it.

Fennec Pre-Alpha Version Now Available For Android

The pre-alpha version of Fennac was recently made available for Android devices. Currently it works only on Nexus One and Motorola Droid. Since this is the pre-alpha version, it may have lots of bugs, but it works almost perfectly on these devices.

Microsoft and HTC sign Patent Agreement

In a interesting turn of events Microsoft who is the maker of Windows Mobile Operating System has signed a Patent agreement with  phone maker HTC. Taiwan based HTC has been one of the biggest supporters of Windows Mobile so far and now they are one of the major adopters of Android with handsets like the Google Nexus One, HTC Desire and Legend.As a part of the new agreement HTC will have to pay Microsoft a royalty. Looks like Android OS has some Intellectual Property issues.
