Samsung Galaxy Nexus Unboxing Video

The Galaxy Nexus is world’s first phone to run on Android 4.0 which is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Google and Samsung unveiled the device in Hong Kong last month and the device went on sale in few markets earlier this month. The handset is priced at around 429 pounds in the UK.The box is unusually long and has the picture of the device  on the front and sides.A very simplistic design with subtle marketing material. No mention even of the specs on the outside.The unit we got was a Titanium Silver color. The device boasts of a 4.65 inch SuperAMOLED display with a 720p resolution.It is powered by a 1.2 GHz CPU and packs 16GB of inbuilt storage without an expansion slot. There is a 5MP camera on the back and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. Motorola XT928, MT917 and XT615 announced for China

Motorola has announced XT928, MT917 and XT615 Android phones for China. The Motorola MT917 is the Chinese variant of the Motorola Razr with just 8.5mm thin and protected by KEVLAR but has better specs. Both the Motorola XT928 and the MT917 comes with a 4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display with scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass and 13MP camera with Dual LED flash and a 1.3MP front facing camera. Both these phones are powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The Motorola XT615 is a mid range phone that has 4.0-inch (480 x 854 pixels) display, 8MP camera with LED flash, VGA front camera and is powered by 800MHz CPU and runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Motorola Droid 4 detailed specs surface

The Motorola Droid 4 is expected to come with a 4-inch (960 x 540 pixels) TFT display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 5-row slideout keyboard, 4G LTE, 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording at 30 fps, LED flash and a front video calling camera, according to the leaked spec sheet from Droid-Life. They got their hands on image of a handset last month with the 5-row slideout keyboard and a design similar to Droid RAZR. It would run on Android Gingerbread 2.3.5. This offers iPhone games at as low as $0.99 and iPad games as low as $2.99 and Android games as low as $0.99. Their previous sale was Labor Day. Soon to hit the Galaxy Tab 10.1 – CM9 (Android 4.0)

Now, as we all have witnessed Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), strutting its stuff on the mobile devices, we still haven’t ported it on a tablet yet. Well the people with Galaxy Tab 10.1s waiting for official Android 4.0 to hit their devices have nothing to worry about as Cyanogen himself has confirmed that he has ported CM9 on the Galaxy Tab through his Google+ account.

LG India has officially launched 2 new Android phones, LG Optimus Pro and Optimus Net. These phones run on Android 2.3 and powered by 800 MHz CPU. The LG Optimus PRO has the combination of touch and QWERTY and features a unique Portrait Touch Screen that allows user to read and write up to 16 lines as compared to 8-10 lines in the normal screens. The QWERTY keypad with dedicated shortcuts will enable smartphone users to multitask. LG Optimus NET comes with Social +, unique social media aggregator which enables smartphone users to get updates, events of popular social networking portals in a widget on the home screen. HTC Flyer 32GB , 3G version Price Drops to Rs.23900 !

When HTC launched the 3G+WiFi of it’s 7 inch Android tablet in India for Rs.39890 in June this year , we were immensely disappointed about the price tag. It was an impressive tablet with decent battery life. Now if you gave the Flyer a pass for the same reason, good news for you. The price of the tablet has been cut by almost 50%. It has now available for Rs.23900 on Flipkart and Rs.23990 on LeysBuy. Some retailers are still selling it at around Rs.35000. Motorola RAZR is the first Android Phone to use a microSIM card

When I was expecting the Motorola RAZR to arrive today , I had a question in my mind. Does this phone use a microSIM card. The Motorola DROID RAZR for Verizon uses the smaller SIM card but there was no mention about it in the Europe / Asia product pages. To my surprise when I opened the box earlier today, I noticed that the RAZR had a flap which covered the microSIM card slot and the microSD memory card slot.
