NVIDIA has announced its SHIELD gaming console at the Game Developers Conference (GDC). The console is powered by NVIDIA Tegra X1 processor with 256-core Maxwell architecture GPU, 64-bit CPU and runs on Android TV OS. It will have over 50 Android titles optimized for SHIELD, including Crysis 3, Doom 3: BFG EditionT and Borderlands: TPS. This is the the world’s first Android TV console, which delivers video, music, apps and games to the home, says the company. The new Fonepad 7 was unveiled at the CES earlier this year and packs a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The MeMO Pad 8 (ME581CL) that was announced at the Computex last year has a 8-inch (1200×1920 pixels) IPS display, is powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor, comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera.
