Android Wear could get gesture control and WiFi support in new update


Android Wear is expected to get a couple of important features in next update, as per a report from The Verge. The new update will bring gesture control and WiFi support to Android Wear.

WiFi support will allow your Android Wear device to connect directly to a WiFi network and no longer be solely dependent on a tethered phone. Users can perform most functions like Google searches and deliver notifications It must be noted that Most of the Android Wear smartwatches currently available in the market already have Wi-Fi built in so the update should be easy to roll.

The report  also says that the update will bring gesture support, which will allow scrolling of notifications, Google Now Cards, and other screens to be done without making contact with the devices screen by just a flick of the wrist. Finally, the update will get some UI tweaks are coming, focusing on easier access to your apps and contacts.
