Motorola starts rolling out Stagefright patches for its smartphones globally

Motorola announced last month that it will offer patches for Stagefright exploit. Few days back it announced that it has started rolling out updates with Stagefright fixes for its smartphones globally. The Moto X Play and Moto X Style smartphones come with security patches out of the box. Motorola is rolling out new updates for Moto X (1st Gen, 2nd Gen), Moto G (1st Gen, 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen) Moto G with 4G LTE 1st Gen, Moto E (1st Gen, 2nd Gen) and Moto E 4G LTE (2nd Gen). All these include fixes for the latest vulnerability in the Stagefright library (CVE-2015-3864).

Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ Benchmarks

Samsung launched the Galaxy S6 edge+ smartphone in India last month for Rs. 57,900. We unboxed it recently, here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. The Galaxy S6 edge+ is powered by a Octa-Core 14 nm Exynos 7420 SoC which has four ARM Cortex A57 CPUs clocked at 2.1GHz per core and four ARM Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.5GHz per core, similar to the Galaxy S6 and theGalaxy S6 edge. It has Mali T760 MP8 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM. It has a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) Super AMOLED display and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on the top. Lenovo introduces the A7000 Plus in Philippines – Rebranded K3 Note

Lenovo announced the K3 Note in India as an upgraded version of the A7000 with a 5.5″ 1080p display compared to the 720p display on the latter. Similarly, Lenovo have announced an upgraded version of the A7000 in the Philippines as well but with an A7000 Plus moniker instead of the K3 Note name by which it is known in India.
