Airtel today launched ‘V-Fiber’ broadband based on Vectorization in Chennai that offers speeds of up to 100 Mbps. Airtel already said that it will be offering ‘V-Fiber’ for all its existing broadband customers at no extra monthly cost and requires only modem change, which costs Rs. 1000. Now it has provided monthly plans that start at Rs. 999 for 50GB FUP limit and goes up to Rs. 4999 for 1TB FUP.

Reliance Jio Infocomm, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) had launched 4G services for its employees in December last year and it officially launched for all on September 5th. Today the company has announced that it has signed record 16 million new subscribers in 26 days of its commercial operations. “Jio has achieved this growth faster than any other telecom operator or start up in the world including the likes of Facebook, WhatsApp and Skype,” said the company. The Department of Telecom (DoT) has announced the winners in the spectrum auctions in various circles that ended after 5 days and 31 rounds. At the end of the auction government got bids worth Rs. 65,789 crore, less than their target. It had put 964.8 MHz of radio waves in the 700 MHz, 800 MHz, 1800 MHz, 2100 MHz, 2300 MHz and 2500 MHz bands. Asus has announced ZenPad Z10 (ZT500KL), the company’s latest tablet for US operator Verizon Wireless, which is a larger version of the ZenPad Z8 that was introduced back in June. It has a 9.7-inch QXGA display, is powered an hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow) with ZenUI on top. Airtel has launched 4G LTE services in Gujarat, few months after offering 4G SIMs in the circle. Airtel 4G in Gujarat will be offered using 1800MHz (FD LTE) spectrum. Airtel 4G is available through mobile phones, 4G hotspots and dongles in the town. With today’s launch Airtel 4G is now available in 17 circles across India.
