LG has launched the Optimus L9, their new Android Smartphone in the L-Style series in India. It was announced back in August and went on pre-order in India last week. It has a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor. It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash, 1080p Full HD video recording and a VGA front-facing camera. Airtel has launched Emergency Alert Service for their customers. This new 24×7 service lets them alert a pre-defined group of up to 10 mobile numbers automatically during emergency. Instead of sending messages to everyone during an emergency, subscribers can SMS SAFE to 55100 to let their loved ones know that they are safe along with their location. Karbonn A15, the company’s new Dual SIM Android Smartphone is now available from online retailer Saholic. It has a 4.0-inch (480 × 800 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Most of the features are similar to the A11 that was launched last month, but the A15 has just a 3MP Camera with Face Detection instead of a 5MP Auto Focus camera with Flash, and lacks a front-facing camera. Nokia Asha 205 and 206 Dual SIM phones announced
Nokia has announced 2 new Dual SIM phones, Asha 205 and 206 in India. These phones come with a 2.4-inch (240 x 320 pixels) 65k color display, but the Asha 205 has A QWERTY keyboard with Island keyboard that increases readability, tactility and typing. Both these phones have Slam feature to share multimedia content like photos, music and videos with nearby friends instantly. It works on Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones without the need to pair devices, and without the recipient needing to also have Slam (iOS and Windows Phone not supported currently). Samsung Galaxy Camera launched in India for Rs. 29,900
Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy Camera in India. It was first unveiled at IFA in Berlin in August, and Samsung announced couple of months back that it would launch in India this month. Samsung started taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Camera few weeks back. The 16 Megapixel camera has 21x Optical Zoom Lens with BSI CMOS sensor. It packs in a 4.8-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super Clear Touch Display with 308 ppi and is powered by a 1.4 GHz Quad-Core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Lava IRIS N320 Dual SIM Android Smartphone launched for Rs. 3999
Lava Mobiles has launched IRIS N320, their new Dual SIM Android phone in the IRIS series, followed by the IRIS N350. Features of the IRIS N320 are similar to the N350 including a 3.5 inch (320 x 480 pixels) Capacitive multi-touch display, 1GHz processor and Android 2.3.6 (Gingerbread). It has a 2 Megapixel camera with LED flash at the back, but lacks a front-facing camera that was present in the N350. This doesn’t have 3G support similar to the IRIS N350.
