Xiaomi has officially introduced the REDMI K90 Ultra in China, as it had promised, expanding its smartphone lineup with a new high-performance device.
Design and Display
The REDMI K90 Ultra is available in three color options: Shadow Black, Space Silver, and Sky Blue. The device is constructed with an aluminum alloy CNC frame utilizing an anodized process to provide a premium build quality.
The front of the device features a 6.83-inch 1.5K M10 substrate flat screen with a large rounded-corner design. It has 165Hz refresh rate and up to 3,500 nits peak brightness. For durability, the device features comprehensive dust and water resistance, carrying IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications.
Internal Performance and Cooling
At the core of the REDMI K90 Ultra is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, paired with a D2 discrete graphics chip. The memory and storage configurations utilize LPDDR5X Ultra memory and UFS 4.1 flash storage.
To manage thermal output, Xiaomi has integrated a built-in active cooling fan, which operates at noise levels as low as 32dB. Notably, the individual fan unit carries its own independent IPX8 and IPX9 dust and water resistance certifications.
Battery and Charging
Powering the device is a substantial 8,550mAh single-cell Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery. The power system includes:

Xiaomi has implemented specific software and hardware adjustments for gaming, including specialized game audio effects. Furthermore, Xiaomi partnered with Tencent to deeply optimize the touch experience for popular mobile titles:
- Honor of Kings: Features customized “e-sports zone touch control,” which includes targeted adjustments to the movement wheel area, skill button area, and minimap area.
- Peacekeeper Elite: Includes customized “zone touch control” tailored for specific in-game actions, covering scenarios such as movement, aiming, and elimination.
