Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of the REDMI K90 Ultra, the company’s next gaming smartphone in the K90 series as the successor to last year’s K80 Ultra smartphone in China on June 30th.
Design

The company has posted the image of the phone in Space Silver color that shows a metal look and will come with an aluminum alloy CNC frame with an anodized finish for a premium look and feel.
It will pack a 6.83″ ultra-narrow bezel flat screen with large rounded corners, achieving both visual appeal and a comfortable grip, it added. We can expect a 1.5K 12-bit AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate, same as the K90 Max. As you can see in the image, this is the second REDMI phone to use an active cooling fan.
Active Cooling Fan

It will get the same large-sized fan as the REDMI K90 Max with a diameter 6% larger than mainstream solutions. It also boasts a vortex airflow design to prevent turbulence, ensuring highly efficient cooling with a low noise level of 32dB.
The entire system is dustproof and waterproof, achieving a
10°C temperature drop in just 100 seconds, delivering superior gaming performance, said the company.
Performance
The phone will be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite 3nm SoC and promises exceptional gaming performance, even handling demanding
3D turn-based mobile games at maximum settings. Under heavy load, it maintained a full frame rate for 60 minutes without any throttling! Map traversal is smooth with no ghosting, and combat is lag-free, the company added.
In MOBA games, it achieved 144fps+ ultra-high-definition graphics, combined with a 180-minute ultra-long test in a harsh 30°C environment, with no frequency throttling or frame drops throughout, said the company.
Lu Weibing, Partner/President of Xiaomi Group, President of the Mobile Phone Division, and General Manager of the Xiaomi Brand, said that the phone inherits all the gaming features of the K90 Max, including the D2 dedicated gaming graphics chip, e-sports touchscreen, gaming audio effects, and landscape network optimization.
We can expect more details about the phone in the coming days.
