Sony Mobile just announced the Xperia XZ3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone at the IFA, as expected. It has a 6-inch QHD+ P-OLED 18:9 aspect ratio display, is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform and runs Android 9.0 (Pie). It has a new Dual Motion Eye camera with 19-megapixel 1/ 2.3″ Exmor RS memory stacked sensor, 960 fps super slow motion videos (FHD/HD), Predictive Capture, Anti-distortion shutter, Triple image sensing technology and 5-axis image stabilization for shake-free videos. Sony posts ‘Seeing is believing’ teaser ahead of Xperia smartphone announcement at IFA on August 30

Sony Mobile is expected to introduce Xperia XZ3, the company’s next-generation flagship smartphone at the IFA in Berlin on August 30th. Today it has posted the first teaser image that shows Xperia along with the date and it says ‘Seeing is believing’ hinting at AMOLED display for the smartphone.

The company claims that it can produce myriad colors, greater dynamism and sense of realism as compared to standard HD players. The UBP-X700 supports HDR10 and Dolby Vision via a Firmware update. Sony reportedly confirms Android 9.0 Pie update for range of Xperia smartphones, roll out expected to start in September

Apart from Pixel, only the Essential Phone has got the Android 9.0 aka Pie and now Sony has reportedly confirmed the next major Android release to six of its smartphones. Sony Mobile losses widen in FY Q1 2018, 2 million smartphones shipped

Sony Corporation has reported its revenues for the first quarter of the financial year 2018 that ended June 30, 2018. Sales increased by 5% to 1,953.6 billion yen compared to the same quarter last year due to strong growth in its Gaming and Networking division. Sony WF-SP700N Noise Cancelling Truly Wireless Sports Headphones Review

Earlier this year, we reviewed the WF-1000X, Sony’s first foray into truly wireless audio. A premium headset with a focus on audio quality and design, we found it to be an acceptable first generation offering. The all new Sony WF-SP700N on the other hand is quite a different product. Sony IMX586 world’s highest resolution 48MP smartphone camera sensor announced

Sony just announced IMX586, its latest stacked CMOS image sensor for smartphones with highest pixel count in a smartphone and world-first ultra-compact pixel size of 0.8 μm, making it possible to pack 48 effective megapixels onto a 1/2-type (8.0 mm diagonal) unit. It uses  Quad Bayer color filter array, where the adjacent 2×2 pixels come in the same color, so that the sensor promises high sensitivity and high resolution. Sony MP-CD1 ultra-portable mobile projector with 120-inch projection launched in India at Rs. 29990

Sony today has launched the MP-CD1 ultra-portable Mobile Projector in India. This was previously announced at the CES 2018 earlier this year. Sony Xperia XA2 Plus with 6-inch Full HD+ display, Snapdragon 630, up to 6GB RAM, Hi-Res Audio announced

Sony Mobile just announced Xperia XA2 Plus, a larger version of the Xperia XA2, which was announced at the CES 2018. It has a 6-inch 1080p screen with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, is powered by Snapdragon 630 with up to 6GB of RAM, runs Android 8.0 (Oreo), comes with a 23-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Exmor RS sensor, Hybrid Autofocus and LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera with 120-degree wide-angle lens. It also has support for Hi-Res Audio and Smart Amplifier, making it the first mid-range Sony smartphone to get the feature.

Sony Mobile today announced price cuts for its Xperia XZs, Xperia L2 and Xperia R1 smartphones in India. The Xperia XZs which was launched in April last year for Rs. 49990, is now available for Rs. 29,990, after a second price cut of Rs. 10,000 from the price of Rs. 39,990.
