Sony Mobile today announced price cuts for its Xperia XZs, Xperia L2 and Xperia R1 smartphones in India. The Xperia XZs which was launched in April last year for Rs. 49990, is now available for Rs. 29,990, after a second price cut of Rs. 10,000 from the price of Rs. 39,990. Sony at the CES 2018 introduced Xperia L2, a new budget smartphone and the successor of the Xperia L that was introduced back in 2013. It has a 5.5-inch display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, is powered by quad-core MediaTek SoC and runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera with 120-degree super wide-angle lens. Sony Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia L2 are said to be launched in early 2018, and the phones now have passed through both NBTC and SIRIM regulatory bodies in Thailand and Malaysia revealing the names of the phones.
