Samsung Galaxy S22 Review – Compact flagship done right

Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 smartphone last month. Compared to last year’s Galaxy S21 with 6.2-inch screen, this has a slightly smaller 6.1-inch screen, making it slightly smaller, and it is also sleeker. Samsung just launched the Galaxy F23 5G, the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone in the F series, after teasing it recently. The successor to last year’s Galaxy F22 packs a 6.6-inch Full HD+ LCD Infinity-V display with 120Hz refresh rate, compared to the last year’s F22 4G model with a 6.4-inch 90Hz AMOLED display. This also has a faster Snapdragon 750G SoC with up to 6GB of RAM, RAM Plus feature and power cool technology to keep the temperature low. Samsung Galaxy M23 5G with 6.6″ FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 750G, Galaxy M33 5G, Galaxy A23, Galaxy A13 announced

After rumours, Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy M33 5G and M23 5G smartphones as well as Galaxy A13 4G phone in Spain. The company also listed the Galaxy A23 4G phone on its site. All these have a 6.6-inch FHD+ screen and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Both new M Series devices have a 120Hz refresh rate screens, and the A series features a 90Hz screen. Geekbench delists Samsung Galaxy S22 series for benchmark manipulation

Last week, Samsung was discovered to be selectively throttling nearly 10000 Android apps on their latest Galaxy S22 series of smartphones through a pre-installed app called Game Optimizing Service (GOS). Due to its selective nature of ignoring benchmarking apps, Geekbench, a popular benchmarking service, has decided to delist the device from their benchmarking ranks.

When smartphone manufacturers purposefully throttle selective apps in their devices, it isn’t generally received well by their customers. Samsung has now been confirmed to be doing just that as they have been discovered to be throttling nearly, 10,000 apps via a pre-installed app in the Galaxy S22 series smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy A33 5G, successor to the Galaxy A32 surfaced in renders a few months back. Now the press images of the smartphone have surfaced that confirms the design that resembles the renders. Qualcomm validates Samsung’s LPDDR5X DRAM for use with Snapdragon SoCs

Samsung today announced that Qualcomm  has validated Samsung’s 14-nanometer (nm) based 14nm-based 16Gb LPDDR5X DRAM for use on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon mobile platforms. The company introduced the LPDDR5X DRAM in November last year, and it promises data processing speeds of up to 8.5 Gbps compared to 6.4Gbps in LPDDR5. Samsung officially ends the Galaxy “Note” brand; replaced by “Ultra” lineup

When Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 Ultra last month, many of us observed that it was strikingly similar to the Galaxy Note20 Ultra that launched back in 2020. At MWC 2022, Samsung has confirmed the rumours about the end of the “Galaxy Note” brand, and in its place, the Galaxy Ultra brand will continue on.
