Nokia and Lamborghini have teamed up for a a limited edition Nokia 8800 Sirocco phone.
The phone features special Lamborghini themes and ring tones as well as a video documentary.
Mostly software and cosmetic changes can be seen in this phone. It also sports Lamborghini made ball bearings in the slider mechanism.
Only 500 of the phones will be made and will only be available from Lamborghini dealerships.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that Apple’s iPod like phone which was rumoured sometime ago will be available for purchase in early 2007.
Apple has recently placed an order for over 12 million iPhones.
It might have a 3.0 Megapixel camera and iTunes integration.
Vertu, Mobiado and Bang & Olufsen seem to be getting competion. A new company named Gresso, based out of Russia has entered the luxury phone market.The Gresso Luxury Phone is made of gold and African Blackwood.
The case of the phone is made from Gold and African Blackwood, which age is more than 200 years. Every Gresso phone is unique and singular. Two identical phones do not exist, as well as in the nature there are no two identical trees.
Initially, phones will be on sale only in Russia.

Reliance has launched mobile blogging for its customers. RCL has partnered with the Hyderabad-based mobile content solutions company IMI Mobile for moblogging. The service is priced at Rs 5 per MMS/SMS for posting a blog. The blogs are hosted on www.relianceinfo.com/mblog. In any case, it will take a while for moblogging to become a mass application.

Nokia has come out with a new wireless connectivity standard called Wibree. Nokia claims that Wibree maintains a data rate of 1Mbps (not as good as Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, which tops out at 2.1Mbps) at a range of up to 30 feet (yes, Class 1 Bluetooth can go up to 100 meters), operates in the 2.4 GHz band, but says that it’s “10 times more energy efficient than Bluetooth,” according to Bob Iannucci, head of Nokia Research Center. Nokia also said that it’s working with Broadcom, CSR, Epson, Nordic Semicondutor and other companies to further develop the standard so that Wibree products can be released by the second quarter of 2007.

Nokia N95 is a descendant of Nokia N80 and offers a first of its kind 2-way sliding construction along with many other high-end features. The integrated GPS functionality has been becoming increasingly popular in hand-held devices. Embracing that trend, Nokia N95 comes with an integrated GPS module which working alongside with the preinstalled Maps application can help you navigate through the busy city streets as easy as you would with a in-dash automobile GPS system. Besides that, it’s the first HSDPA (3.5G) mobile of the Finnish manufacturer. HSDPA is not so wide spread right now but undoubtedly it would be the leading standard for fast data transfers to mobile devices in the future.
