Sony has launched its XB650BT Extra Bass Bluetooth Headphones in India. It was introduced at the CES 2016. It has 1.18 in neodymium driver unit  for EXTRA BASS, promises 30 hours of battery life and also has NFC for One-touch pairing. “The adjustable headband’s structure is optimised for deep bass playback, providing a stable fit to minimise vibration caused by punchy bass notes and soft cushion ear pads provide a largely airtight seal for direct bass transmission,” said Sony.

Amazon files for a patent that lets you make payment via selfie

Amazon has filed for a patent application that would allow users to take a selfie or video of themselves to pay for items. Filed in October last year, the technology identifies a person and authenticates payment with their photo instead of using passwords.

Google to let users trial Android games right from search results

Google has announced a number of features for Play Games at the the Game Developers Conference. One of the new features makes it easier for players to stream and share videos to YouTube. With the latest update, users will be able to trial select games for ten minutes before actually purchasing it. Google recently added the ability to install games from Google search results.

OnePlus 2 gets a permanent Rs. 2000 price cut in India, now starts at Rs. 20999

OnePlus has finally reduced the price of its flagship OnePlus 2 smartphone in India by Rs. 2,000 on Amazon, a month after it reduced the price on its global portal OnePlus.net. To remind you, the OnePlus 2 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant was launched in India at Rs. 24,999 last year and the 16GB variant with 3GB of RAM went on sale earlier this year in the country. Samsung Galaxy S7’s manufacturing cost revealed at $255: IHS

The Samsung Galaxy S7 was manufactured for $255,  according to a new report published by research firm IHS. This is the same amount the company required to make the Galaxy S5 two years ago.

LG has officially announced its K8 smartphone, a month after it was listed on its official site. It has also introduced K5 smartphone in the K Series. The K8 packs a 5-inch HD screen with 2.5D curved arc glass, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Sunil Lalvani – President, Qualcomm India on Make in India

Qualcomm is looking to help make India a hub for design capabilities for smartphones, tablets and IoT. The company is also looking to leverage India’s engineering talent to scale innovation for both local consumption, and rest of the world. On those lines, Qualcomm is setting up an Innovation Lab in Bangalore, India to provide technical and engineering support to the home grown companies.

In the very recent past, Qualcomm had also hosted the Design in India Challenge in association with NASSCOM to accelerate the creation of a product and hardware design ecosystem in India for healthcare, education, banking, agriculture, automotive, wearables and smartcities.

Over 100,000 Samsung S7 and S7 edge sold in first 2 days in Korea

Samsung started selling the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones in over 60 countries, including its home-ground Korea starting from March 11th. Korea’s Yonhap News is reporting that Samsung sold more than 100,000 units of Galaxy S7 series of smartphones in South Korea, in first two after the sales started.
