OnePlus just introduced its flagship OnePlus 5T smartphone at an event in  Brooklyn, New York as it had promised. It has a 6.01-inch Full HD+ Optic AMOLED Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 80.5% screen-to-body ratio and with DCI-P3 color coverage, compared to the 5.5-inch 1080p screen on the OnePlus 5 , but body is almost same. Since it has a large screen, it doesn’t have a home button and ceramic fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back to unlock the phone in 0.2 seconds. OnePlus has accidentally left behind an app called ‘EngineerMode’ made by Qualcomm which after decompiling has revealed that the app can be exploited to gain root access acting like a backdoor. OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 4.5.14 update for the OnePlus 5, soon after the OxygenOS 4.5.13 that rolled out last month. The latest update brings VoLTE support for Airtel users in India in select cities where it is available, fixes KRACK WP2 Wi-Fi protocol vulnerability, optimization of battery usage in some cases, optimization for GPS accuracy along with bug fixes. Check out the complete changelog below.

OnePlus 5T renders surfaced in China earlier this month. Now the first clear press render has surfaced, thanks to @evleaks aka Evan Blass. The image reveals only the top part of the phone at an angle that shows minimal bezels on the top along with a large camera sensor, a SIM slot and a power button on the right side. OnePlus 3 and 3T latest OxygenOS beta update brings improvements and bug fixes

OnePlus finally rolled out the Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphones in the previous Open Beta update. Now it has released new Oreo-based open betas (Beta 17 for OnePlus 3T and Beta 26 for OnePlus 3) that brings back the Feedback app, improvements to WiFi, data connectivity, NFC, stability of Picture in Picture along with several bug fixes.

OnePlus has been in the news for quite some time since we first heard about the possibilities of OnePlus 5T. Though it is heard that OnePlus might not be launching the T-variant of the OnePlus 5 and directly launch OnePlus 6 early next year, now it looks like the company has had a change of plans. Two new recent developments suggest that OnePlus might be working on the OnePlus 5T and it might be launched sometime in November.
