We have been hearing several rumours about the upcoming OnePlus 9 5G smartphone for quite sometime now. Now the rumours about the OnePlus 9 Lite has surfaced online. Based on this we can expect OnePlus 9, 9 Pro and 9 Lite, three new smartphones in OnePlus’ early 2021 line up. The OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro should be powered by Snapdragon 888 flagship SoC, but the OnePlus 9 Lite is said to come with the old Snapdragon 865 SoC. OnePlus 8T Concept with color-changing design, mmWave reactive sensing tech announced

OnePlus just announced OnePlus 8T Concept, the company’s second concept phone ahead of CES 2021. The first one was the OnePlus Concept One with color-shifting glass technology (electrochromic glass technology) that was introduced at the CES 2020 earlier this year. The new concept also uses electrochromic back and  also combines Electronic Color, Material and Finish (ECMF) and mmWave. OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro Android 11 update further delayed to next year

While OnePlus has already rolled out Oxygen OS 11 update based on Android 11 for the OnePlus 8 and 8T series, the Android 11 update for the one-year old 7T series is yet to come. Now, the company has stated that the Android 11 update has been further delayed to next year, due to some issues in the development cycle.

OnePlus 9 5G with 6.55-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 888, triple rear cameras surface in live images

 After the CAD renders that surfaced last month, live images of the upcoming OnePlus 9 5G smartphone has surfaced online. This reveals a flat punch-hole display for the phone, similar to the OnePlus 8T, however the back of the phone has two large camera modules, and a smaller camera module along with LED flash. There is also Ultra Shot branding next to the camera. Since it is a prototype, it has a different logo instead of OnePlus. OnePlus 9 Pro will reportedly continue to feature IP68 water and dust resistance

It took many years for Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus to start including IP ingress protection in their smartphones, with the OnePlus 8 Pro being the first phone to feature an official IP68 rating. OnePlus seems to be sticking with this choice as the OnePlus 9 Pro is now rumoured to feature IP68 water and dust protection too.

OnePlus Nord N100 confirmed to feature 90Hz refresh rate display

OnePlus announced the Nord N100 smartphone along with the N10 5G last month for UK, Europe and US markets. At the launch the company said that the Nord N100 has a 6.52-inch HD+ 60Hz screen, now the retail unit reveals that the phone actually has a 90Hz refresh rate screen. OnePlus 8T Review

Keeping up with the tradition, OnePlus launched the ‘T’ version of the OnePlus 8 series in India a few weeks back. The OnePlus 8T is similarly spec’d as its predecessor, but, it carries few upgrades too – 65W charger, a 200mAh battery bump-up, 5MP macro camera, 2MP depth camera and 120Hz display. However, the upgrades becomes meaningful only if it’s implemented right.
