Nokia is planning to launch a new Symbian device at CTIA on March 21 happening at Orlando, Florida. Nokia’s performance in the American market has been disappointing compared to other major mobile markets such as Europe, China and India. Looks like Nokia’s new CEO Stephen Elop has plans to refocus on the American market which is one of the biggest mobile markets.

The Nokia E7 has got a minor update to version 14.002 or PR 1.1. The update is 897 kB and is available via OTA. While the complete change log is not known , it is expected to improve the phone’s performance and fix some bugs.

The Nokia E7 was finally launched today in New Delhi, India. The phone was launched by Bollywood Actor Shahrukh Khan and Shivakumar, MD and Vice-President of Nokia India. The price of the Symbian smartphone is Rs.29999 and is targeted at business users.Nokia E7 is the first Symbian^3 phone which comes with a full QWERTY keyboard.

Nokia has announced a brand new orange colored mobile phone, the Nokia X1-00. The phone is aimed at all those music lovers looking at an affordable phone.The phone boasts of a massive speaker on the back, which is rated at 106phon (phon – a measure of perceived loudness ), where the measure 106 is considered to be enough to rattle your window frames. Nokia also adds that the frequency response of the phone’s speaker has been tweaked in order to keep the sound undistorted at higher volumes, unlike other mobile phones.
