At GDC 2019, Microsoft is set to debut a new cross-platform development with a goal of bringing Xbox Live support to games on Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, in addition to PC and Xbox consoles. The company currently has a few games with Xbox Live support across mobile devices, most notably via Minecraft, which requires an Xbox Live login on Android, iOS, and Nintendo Switch.

Microsoft reports $32.5 billion revenue with 12% YoY growth in Q4 2018, LinkedIn revenue up 29%

Microsoft has announced final quarter results that ended on 31st December 2018. When compared to the last fiscal year, the revenue is increased by 12% resulting in $32.5 billion, operating income is $10.3 billion with an increase of 18%, the net income was $8.4 billion, and the diluted earnings per share were $1.08 GAAP and $1.10 non-GAAP%. Microsoft Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 with 8th Gen Intel Core processors launched in India

Microsoft has launched Surface Pro 6 and Surface Laptop 2 in India. The Surface Pro 6 is powered by Intel 8th Gen Quad Core processors, while other specifications are similar to the Surface Pro 5. The Surface Laptop 2 is powered by Intel 8th Gen Quad Core Processors, promises up to 14.5 hours of video playback and faster and quieter typing.

Microsoft Office 365 now available via the Apple Mac App Store

Cortana won’t challenge Alexa and Google Assistant, says Microsoft CEO

It’s no secret that Microsoft’s Cortana digital assistant has fallen behind Google Assistant and Alexa, and it looks like Microsoft is taking a different route. The company’s CEO Satya Nadella revealed that Microsoft no longer sees Cortana as a competitor to Alexa or Google Assistant. “Cortana needs to be that skill for anybody who’s a Microsoft 365 subscriber,” explains Nadella. Under this agreement, LG will accelerate the transformation of its existing digital platform for the vehicle industry, by leveraging Microsoft’s Azure cloud and artificial intelligence technologies along with LG’s future self-driving software. Microsoft said to be working 4K webcam with support for Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One for 2019

Microsoft Surface Go 2-in-1 with 10-inch display, up to 8GB RAM launched in India

Microsoft today has launched the Surface Go 2-in-1 with a 10-inch display. It is a smaller version of the Surface Pro design with an integrated kickstand and runs on Windows 10. It sports a 10-inch (1800 x 1200 pixels) displaywith a 3:2 aspect ratio, custom-built high-resolution PixelSense Display that supports Surface Pen with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, low pen parallax, low latency, and precision for accurate note taking, drawing and computer-aided design.
