Over at the SID display exhibition in Vancouver, LG plans to show off its new unbreakable and flexible OLED panel. This 5 inch panel would be in addition to the 55 inch OLED TV that they previously talked about. The OLED panel targets mobile devices and has a display constructed of plastic. This plastic construction makes it flexible and unbreakable.

The Google Nexus 4 went on pre-order from Flipkart yesterday. Now LG and Google have officially launched the Nexus 4 in India. It was announced back in October last year, and it packs a 4.7-inch (1280 x 768 pixels) True HD IPS Plus display, powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Google is yet to release the Nexus 4 in India on their official Play Store, but the phone has appeared on the online retail site Flipkart at a price tag of Rs. 25,990. Google started selling the Nexus 7 through their official Play Store in India back in March 2013 and the Nexus 4 page on the Google Play said it is not available in India. The 3G version of the Nexus 7 went on sale from retail stores last month and from online retailers earlier this month, but it is not available from Google Play Store. NTT Docomo has announced the LG Optimus it (L-05E) for their Summer 2013 line-up. The Optimus it has a 4.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) True HD IPS display, powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8064T processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 13.2-megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash, BSI sensor for better low-light imaging and a 1.4-megapixel front-facing camera with a BSI sensor. It is 10.5mm thick and weighs 131 grams. It has IPX 5, 7 for water resistance. It runs on NTT Docomo’s Xi LTE service and has support for NOTTV support. LG has announced that they would launch LTE TDD capable smartphones globally starting from Saudi Arabia with its flagship Optimus G smartphone on the Saudi Telecom Company (STC) network. LG has also confirmed that they would release LTE TDD-enabled smartphones in other countries China, India, North America, Japan and Australia later this year. LG unveiled the Optimus F5, an affordable LTE phone earlier this at the MWC 2013. The company has announced that the Optimus F5 would roll out globally starting from France from tomorrow. The Optimus L5 has a 4.3-inch (960 × 540 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz Dual-Core processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). LG announced its competitor to the Samsung Galaxy Note earlier this year in the form of the Optimus G Pro which is a large screen Android phone / Phablet and one of the first phones to be powered by the Snapdragon 600 processor. LG India has confirmed to FoneArena that it will soon launch the Optimus G Pro here in India most likely by June. LG announced the Optimus G Pro Value Pack upgrade last month. The update has started rolling out in Korea that would bring Smart Video feature recognizes the position of the viewer’s eyes and automatically plays or stops the video and the Smart Camera feature, an extension of the Smart Video, would let you capture photographs using both the front and back cameras for a picture-in-picture composition. LG has announced that they have sold more than 10 million LTE smartphones in their home ground Korea. Last month the company announced that their LTE smartphone sales have cross 10 million units globally. LG announced the Optimus LTE, their first LTE smartphone in Korea back in October 2011, and shipped over 600,000 units in Korea alone in just 100 days after the launch. LG has started rolling out Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Optimus 4X HD (P880) in Europe. The Optimus 4X HD was announced last February at MWC 2012 and launched in India last July. The LG Optimus L9 (P760) got the update in Europe last week. It was announced last August and launched in India last December. LG has announced that the LG Optimus G Pro (L-04E) is now on sale in Japan from NTT Docomo. It was announced earlier this year as the part of NTT Docomo’s Spring lineup in the docomo NEXT series. It packs a 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display, powered by 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The Japanese variant is smaller than the International version that was unveiled in February. LG announced recently that they have sold over 500 thousand units of the Optimus G Pro in Korea alone.
