LG Optimus L-Series smartphone sales surpass 10 million units globally

LG has announced that they have sold over 10 million units of Optimus L-Series smartphones globally. The Optimus L-Series Smartphones include, Optimus L3 that has a 3.2-inch display, Optimus L5 with a 4.0-inch (320×480 pixels), Optimus L7 with a 4.3 inch (480 x 800 pixels ) display and the Optimus L9 that has a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display. LG announced the Optimus L3, L5 and L7 at MWC 2012 that was launched in India in May starting from the Optimus L3. It took 9 months for LG to achieve this feat starting from the Optimus L3 that went of sale in Europe in March. LG Optimus L9 launched in India at Rs. 23000


LG has launched the Optimus L9, their new Android Smartphone in the L-Style series in India. It was announced back in August and went on pre-order in India last week. It has a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor. It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has a 5MP auto focus camera at the back with LED flash, 1080p Full HD video recording and a VGA front-facing camera. LG Optimus G Review

You saw the unboxing of the LG Optimus G last month. Here is the complete review of the phone. The Optimus G is a joint effort from LG Mobile, LG Chem, LG Innotek and LG Display. LG’s launched their first quad-core Android Smartphone, the Optimus 4X HD powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 processor in India back in July, that even got a price cut last month. The Optimus G has a powerful Snapdragon S4 Pro processor. Even though the Xiaomi MI-2 was announced in China with a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, the Optimus G is the first global device to come with a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm APQ 8064 processor.

LG Optimus L9 up for pre-order in India for Rs. 19990

LG Optimus L9 that was announced back in August is now available for pre-order from online retailer Flipkart in India for Rs. 19,990. It comes in Black and White colors and is expected to ship in the first week of December. The phone is priced at an MRP of Rs. 22,000 on LG India website. It has a 4.7-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) IPS capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1GHz dual-core TI OMAP 4430 processor. LG ND8520 Speaker Dock for iPhone and iPad launched in India for Rs. 20990

LG has launched  ND8520 Speaker Dock for iPhone and iPad in India. You can dock your iPhone, iPod Touch or your iPad (with a 30-pin connector) to play music and it also has AirPlay support that lets you stream audio from these devices wirelessly. The 2.1 channel speaker has built-in woofer and minimizes sound loss, resulting in sound that is both crisp and rich in depth. It comes with a remote control and LG’s Bluetooth application for Smartphones to control the speaker easily. Google Nexus 4 Unboxing

Thanks to its incredible specifications and low price point, the handset sold out within minutes, and is now one of the most sought-after pieces of mobile tech, with phones currently changing hands for twice their original purchase price on auction sites. Exploring QSlide, LG’s answer to Samsung’s Popup Play

Google Nexus 4 Pictures

LG and Google unveiled the Nexus 4,new Smartphone in the Nexus family at the end of October. It has a 4.7-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) display with 320 ppi and corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection, 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor with Adreno 320 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Nexus 4 is priced at $299 for the 8GB version and the 16GB version comes at a price tag of $349. It is expected to go on sale from November 13 in the US, UK, Canada, Germany, France, Spain and Australia. LG has launched Optimus Vu 2 in Illusion Pink color in South Korea. The LG Optimus Vu 2 was announced in September and was available in Blue-Black and Illusion White colors in October. LG Optimus Vu Review

LG and Google announce the Nexus 4

Google had canceled the New York Android event due to Hurricane Sandy but the hurricane could not stop them from officially announcing the devices.Google and LG have finally officially unveiled the next Nexus phone which is from LG this time round -Nexus 4. The handset has been leaked multiple times and was reportedly lost in in a bar. The Nexus 4 looks  very similar to the previous Nexus devices from the front but very different in the back.The Nexus 4 was jointly designed by LG and Google. LG Optimus G Benchmarks – quad-core Snapdragon S4 CPU and Adreno 320 GPU

LG announced the Optimus G in August, which went on sale in Korea in September. We managed to get hold of the device to run some benchmarks.The LG Optimus G was in a close competition with the Samsung Galaxy Note II in most of the benchmarks but it was a clear winner when compared to the other quad-core devices including Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X and the LG Optimus 4X HD. LG Nexus 4 with Nexus branding shows up

LG Mobile’s upcoming Nexus  smartphone has been doing rounds on the internet a lot. And today we have a sweet looking picture of the phone with the iconic Nexus branding on the back thanks to @evleaks. The pictures of this phone had been leaked in the past as the LG E960 but the Nexus branding was missing in those images. LG reports net profit of $138.57 million in Q3 2012, Mobile phone sales up by 5.4%

LG Electronics has announced their earnings for Q3 2012. They have reported net profit of 157 billion Won (US$ 138.57 million) with operating profits of 221 billion Won (US$ 195.06 million). The Mobile phone sales were 5.4 percent more compared to last quarter with operating profit of 22 billion Korean Won (US$ 19.42 million), but it is 11.4% less compared to Q3 2011. LG shipped 14 million units of mobile phones in Q3 2012, 9 percent increase compared to previous quarter.
