More images of the much anticipated LG G3 have surfaced online, that was first posted by GSMarena. The recent images shows a gold version of the flagship phone which is rumored to be the first smartphone to have the latest Snapdragon 805 SoC. Image of a gold LG G3 retail box was already spotted online in April.

LG Isai FL (LGL24) for Japanese operator KDDI that leaked last month is now official. It has a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display, powered by a 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with LG’s own skin on top. LG Display has just announced that their 5.5-inch Quad HD LCD smartphone panel has been certified by NEMKO, Norway-based international testing and certification organization. LG announced their first Quad HD panel back in August last year and has a resolution of 2560 by 1440 pixels at a pixel density of 538ppi. It has the same 1.2 mm thickness, but this has 1.15 mm narrow bezel, 0.05 mm less than the panel introduced last year. LG is the only company that is yet to announce its flagship device and it will probably be the best of what 2014 has to offer. In addition to the rumors circulating about the removable battery, a microSD card slot and a non plastic back, LG G3 is also rumored to be coming with the latest Snapdragon 805 SoC.

LG G3 was spotted in live images and press renders recently. Today @evleaks has posted two images of the phone. One image shows the close up of the phone’s back at an angle that looks like brushed metal finish. Images that were leaked recently revealed the phone in white with plastic back. According to @evleaks the back would not attract any fingerprints. It is not clear if the back would have self repairing technology like the G Flex. It shows the similar narrow bezel, rear mounted buttons, loudspeaker and a sensor next to the camera module, which could be the rumored fingerprint reader. Earlier this week LG confirmed several simultaneous events on May 27th and 28th in different cities worldwide, where the company is expected to unveil the LG G3. The back of the smartphone was leaked recently showing off the rear buttons. Today, more live images of the smartphone got leaked on a Korean website that shows the front part of the phone with ultra-thin side bezels for the first time. LG G Pro 2 that was unveiled back in February is now available in India from online retailer Snapdeal. Yesterday retailer Mahesh Telecom said that the G Pro 2 (LG D838) would be priced at Rs. 49,900 (MOP) in India and the MRP would be Rs. 51,500. At the earning call LG confirmed that it would launch the LG G3, the company’s latest premium smartphone in the second quarter of this year. The company has started sending out invites for the launch event on May 27th in San Francisco, New York and London simultaneously and the launch event in Seoul, Singapore, and Istanbul is scheduled for May 28th, reports The Verge and the Engadget. LG Electronics has announced their earnings for Q1 2014, in which it has reported net profit of 92.60 billion Won (US$ 86.62 million) with operating profits of 504 billion Won (US$ 471.47 million). Mobile communications sector earned revenues of 3.41 trillion Korean Won (US$ 3.1 billion), a 6% increase YoY, but sales decreased by 5% QoQ. Operating profit increased due to the launch of G Pro 2 in the domestic market and more efficient marketing spending, LG said.

Specifications of the LG G3 had leaked several times, but we did not see a render of the G3 yet. GSMArena has got hold of a live image of the upcoming LG flagship that reveals the rear-mounted power button and the volume rocker. The design of these keys are a bit different from the LG G2, G2 mini or other latest G series devices. It also has a new sensor next to the camera, which could be the rumored fingerprint sensor. LG unveiled the L Series III lineup that includes L40, L70 and L90 at the MWC 2014 back in February and the LG L65 Dual was officially launched in Russia earlier this month, couples of months after the phone was unveiled at the MWC. Looks like the L Series III line-up doesn’t stop.
