Fast forward to 2014 and 5.5 inches is fast becoming the norm for smartphones. Owing to consumer trends, the successor has grown bigger still. We have with us the LG G Pro 2 which is the latest large screen wonder from the Korean smartphone manufacturer that aims to tackle the needs of consumers wanting a bigger smartphone viewing experience. Last year’s LG G Pro was the Korean company’s push into the phablet category with high end specifications and practically anything you might need in a smartphone thrown under the hood. Unfortunately the phone was let down by inconsistent software. Owing to consumer trends, the successor has grown bigger still. While we’ll take a look at the over all improvements in the device in our full review, let’s take a brief look at the device’s performance in synthetic benchmarks first. LG G Pro 2 Photo Gallery

Earlier this year, LG showed off its next large format device ie the G Pro 2. Launched in India earlier this month, the phone brings high end specifications and a giant sized display that is well suited for multimedia consumption. Powered by a 2.26Ghz Snapdragon 800 processor paired with 3GB of RAM, the G Pro 2 packs enough firepower to drive any game or high resolution content that you might throw at it. Unlike the LG G2 that had absolutely stellar battery life, we feel that the 3200 mAh unit here wasn’t entirely adequate which is in all likelihood because of the large 5.9 inch panel. LG G Pro 2 Gallery, Hands On

Hi guys! We are live from MWC 2014 at Barcelona and we are at LG’s booth where it is showcasing the Android smartphones which it had recently announced. LG G Pro 2 is the latest flagship from the company is mainly aimed to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 and other high end phablets. LG G Pro 2 might be unveiled on February 13th in Korea

LG G Pro 2 event invite

LG has scheduled an event in Korea on February 13th, reports the ZDNET Korea. The invite just says knock-knock knockin’ on, which doesn’t reveal what we could see at the event. The LG G2 had Knock ON, double tap to wake up feature, which was very useful to unlock the phone since the phone had rear buttons. So the G Pro 2 would obviously have this feature.
