LG introduced the G Watch R, the company’s second Android Wear smartwatch and the successor of the G Watch ahead of IFA. It is the second Android Wear smartwatch with a circular display after the Motorola Moto 360. It went on sale in the U.S. on Google Play recently, priced at $299. LG has launched Tone Infinim (HBS-900), premium Bluetooth stereo headset developed in collaboration with Harman/Kardon in India. It was unveiled back in March, has a stylish design that is almost similar to previous Tone series headsets from LG, but this has a glossy metallic finish. It has retractable wire management technology for tangle-free operation, jog button to fast forward and rewind, sound and vibration alert to inform of incoming messages, current time and battery status. LG just announced that it would start rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its flagship LG G3 smartphone this week starting from Poland. This would be followed by other key markets in future, said the Korean giant. Roll out details will be announced when it becomes available in local markets. LG has introduced G2 Lite (D295) and L Prime (D337) in Brazil. These new smartphones that are variants of L Fino and L Bello smartphones that were launched in India recently. The LG G2 Lite has a 4.5-inch WVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. The L Prime has a 5-inch FWVGA IPS screen, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with premium UX features.

LG launched the G3 Beat smartphone in India back in September. We brought you the unboxing of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks of the G3 Beat. The phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor with ARM Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.19 GHz per core. It has Adreno 305 GPU. LG Display has introduced a 5.3-inch Full HD LCD panel for smartphones with just 0.7mm bezel on the sides. The company introduced world’s slimmest 5.2-inch 1080p smartphone display last year, which was just 2.2mm thin with a 2.3mm bezel. The new smartphone display becomes the world’s narrow bezel display panel, narrower than the 0.8mm thickness of a credit card. Sharp introduced the Aquos Crystal and Aquos Crystal X smartphones recently, which had minimal bezel. LG Electronics has announced their earnings for Q3 2014, in which it has reported net profit of 203 billion Won (US$ 194 million) with operating profits of 461.3 billion Won (US$ 449.61 million). Both the operating profits and net profits were down compared to last quarter, but the these have doubled compared to the quarter a year earlier. LG introduced the Isai FL (LGL24) for Japanese operator KDDI back in May. Today the company has refreshed the smartphone and introduced a new variant called isai VL (LGV31) with 3GB RAM and Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) support. Other specifications are similar to the Isai FL, including a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display, 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 13.2-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, 4K video recording and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. LG G Watch R rolled out in Korea last week, today the company has announced that it would roll out in Europe starting from November. It was unveiled ahead of IFA and has a 1.3-inch (320 x 320 pixels) P-OLED Display, powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and is based on Android Wear platform. LG just announced NUCLUN (pronounced NOO-klun), the company’s first SoC targeted at high-end smartphone. It is an Octa-Core processor with four 1.5GHz cores ARM Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A7 cores. It is based on ARM big.LITTLE technology for better multitasking capabilities and even has LTE-A Cat.6 support for maximum download speeds of up to 225Mbps.
