LG and Google have signed a 10 year global patent cross-licensing agreement covering a broad range of products and technologies. The deal also includes existing patents and the ones that will be filed over the period of next ten years.

LG launched the G3 Beat smartphone in India back in September. We brought you the unboxing of the smartphone recently, here we have the benchmarks of the G3 Beat. The phone is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 (MSM8928) processor with ARM Cortex-A7 cores clocked at 1.19 GHz per core. It  has Adreno 305 GPU. It has a 5-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) HD IPS display, runs on Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) and has 1GB of RAM. Check out the synthetic benchmark scores. LG Display announces 5.3-inch 1080p smartphone display with 0.7mm ultra narrow bezel

LG Display has introduced a 5.3-inch Full HD LCD panel for smartphones with just 0.7mm bezel on the sides. The company introduced world’s slimmest 5.2-inch 1080p smartphone display last year, which was just 2.2mm thin with a 2.3mm bezel. The new smartphone display becomes the world’s narrow bezel display panel,  narrower than the 0.8mm thickness of a credit card. Sharp introduced the Aquos Crystal and Aquos Crystal X smartphones recently, which had minimal bezel. LG reports Q3 2014 earnings, record 16.8 million smartphones shipped

LG Electronics has announced their earnings for Q3 2014, in which it has reported net profit of 203 billion Won (US$ 194 million) with operating profits of 461.3 billion Won (US$ 449.61 million). Both the operating profits and net profits were down compared to last quarter, but the these have doubled compared to the quarter a year earlier. LG isai VL with 5.5-inch Quad HD display, 3GB RAM and VoLTE announced

LG introduced the Isai FL (LGL24) for Japanese operator KDDI back in May. Today the company has refreshed the smartphone and introduced a new variant called isai VL (LGV31) with 3GB RAM and Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE) support. Other specifications are similar to the Isai FL, including a 5.5-inch (2560×1440 pixels) Quad HD IPS display, 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 13.2-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, 4K video recording and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. LG G Watch R to roll out globally starting from November

LG G Watch R rolled out in Korea last week, today the company has announced that it would roll out in Europe starting from November.  It was unveiled ahead of IFA and has a 1.3-inch (320 x 320 pixels) P-OLED Display, powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and is based on Android Wear platform. LG NUCLUN Octa-Core processor announced, debuts in G3 Screen smartphone

LG just announced NUCLUN (pronounced NOO-klun), the company’s first SoC targeted at high-end smartphone. It is an Octa-Core processor with four 1.5GHz cores ARM Cortex-A15 cores and four 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A7 cores. It is based on ARM big.LITTLE technology for better multitasking capabilities and even has  LTE-A Cat.6 support  for maximum download speeds of up to 225Mbps. LG L45 Dual and F60 LTE smartphones have been listed on the official LG India website. The L45 Dual (X132) is an upgraded version of the L40 with the same 3.5-inch HVGA screen, similar size and Android 4.4 (KitKat), but this is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor, has a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front-facing camera. LG G3 Stylus officially launched in India for Rs. 21500

LG has officially launched the G3 Stylus smartphone in India. It went on sale last week and packs a 5.5-inch qHD display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It borrows G3’s design, comes with a Rubberdium stylus pen and has new user experience (UX) features of the G3. LG is bringing WebOS to Smartwatches

Looks like LG let slip a few tidbits about an entirely new thing we weren’t even aware of. The Korean giant, which bought the beleaguered WebOS from Hewlett Packard, to later introduce them in its TVs, is now bringing it to Smartwatches. This has been revealed on LG’s own website, according to the Verge, which posted the screenshot above and two others, explaining the company’s new initiative. The picture above has the familiar WebOS bean bird that was used as a mascot for WebOS’ TV experience, but here it is carrying a watch, which obviously points to Smartwatches.

LG unveiled the L Fino and L Bello in the L series and the G3 Stylus with Rubberdium stylus pen back in August, and these smartphones started rolling out globally last month. These smartphones are on sale in India via Flipkart. All these smartphones run on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with premium UX features and has G3-like rear buttons.

LG has announced F60, the company’s latest smartphone in the F series, after the F90 and the F70 smartphones. It has a 4.5-inch WVGA display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat), similar to the F70 that was launched in India back in July.
