Motorola to be sales arm of Lenovo to improve global sales: Report
Lenovo bought Motorola from Google for $2.91 billion earlier this year. Motorola will help Lenovo to expand its sales in the global market by becoming its sales arm, when the two companies are merged officially, according to a report from DigiTimes. Motorola shipped 6.5 million smartphones globally in the first quarter of 2014 and it became the fourth largest smartphone vendor in India in the second quarter of 2014 replacing Nokia. Lenovo S850 launched in India for Rs. 15499
Lenovo has launched S850, a new smartphone is the S Series in India. It was unveiled at MWC earlier this year and packs a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Lenovo’s custom UI on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel fixed-focus front-facing camera. It also comes with dual SIM support and comes pre-loaded with Lenovo Premium DOit Apps (SHAREit, SYNCit and SECUREit) apps.

Lenovo to debut its first Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone later this year
Lenovo, which is one of the leading smartphone makers in India will introduce Windows Phone 8.1 device later this year. Lui Jun, President of Lenovo’s Mobile Division, confirmed the news in an interview with the German website mobilegeeks.de.

Lenovo reports record $817 million annual profit, 50 million smartphone shipments
Lenovo has reported its Q4 FY14 financial results and the full 2013/14 year that ended March 31, 2014. It has reported revenue of US$9.4 billion for Q4 FY14, up 19-percent year-over-year and the full-year revenue of US$38.7 billion, up 14-percent year-over-year. Its profit stands at $817 million, up 29% YTY. This is the all time high revenue for Lenovo in an year. It shipped a total of 115 million devices in the year that includes, 55 million PCs, 9.2 million tablets and 50 million smartphones. Lenovo Vibe X and Vibe Z getting Android 4.4 from May-end in India, Vibe X gets a price cut
Lenovo has announced that it would start rolling out Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for both Vibe X and Vibe Z smartphones in the Vibe series starting from the last week of May in India. It launched the Vibe X, the first phone in the Vibe series in India last year for Rs. 25999. It has received a price cut and would be available for Rs. 22,999.
