Lenovo Tab S8 -1

Along with the Vibe X2 and Vibe Z2, Lenovo launched the TAB S8 at IFA, Berlin, 2014. TAB S8 is Lenovo’s Intel based tablet that measures 7.9 mm thick and weighs 299 grams. The thin and light device is encompasses in a plastic matte body and has a simple design.

The tablet has a 8-inch (1920 x 1200 pixels) full HD display based on one-glass-solution technology. It has pretty vibrant display with great brightness and contrast levels. The build of the tablet is also good with matte plastic case and has slim bezels around the edges. The back panel is of superior quality and does not leave fingerprint smudges.

At the back we have 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash with a metal ring surrounding for protection.

There is the Lenovo brand name in the middle and Intel inside logo at the lower end.

On the right we can see the metal power buttons and the volume rockers.

While there is flap on the left side that carries the SIM card and micro USB card slot.

The tablet has 1.6-megapixel camera situated at the top front for selfies and video calling along with the Lenovo logo and front speakers.

Powering the Tab S8 is a quad-core 1.86GHz Intel Atom Z3745 processor with 2GB of RAM. The Tab S8 runs Android 4.4, but comes with Lenovo’s heavily customized skin. Lenovo claims up to 7 hours of battery life. The bottom front also has Dolby speakers for further enhanced audio quality. Finally, the tablet supports WiFi and optional high-speed LTE (4G) connectivity (based on Intel XMMTM 7160).
The Lenovo TAB S8 comes in Blue, Canary Yellow and White colors and starts at US$199 for the WiFi variant.
