HTC Sense 6 Lock Screen app hits Google Play Store

HTC has launched Lock Screen Sense 6 app on the Google Play Store. With the new app, users can swipe right on the Lock Screen to jump straight into BlinkFeed, or swipe left to access the Widget Home or to the previous app. In addition, notifications, clock and weather are displayed on the lock screen.

Nvidia accidentally confirms HTC Nexus 9 in legal docs

Reports and leaks about the HTC Nexus 9 have been looming the online world for a long time now. Today, NVIDIA may have inadvertently revealed and confirmed the existence of the Nexus 9 tablet. A leaked court documents from NVIDIA in which they claim Qualcomm and Samsung are infringing on their GPU patents not only makes mention of a Nexus 9, but reveals the manufacturer Google will be partnering with HTC for the same.

HTC Desire 820 with 5.5-inch HD display, Octa-Core Snapdragon 615 SoC announced

HTC has unveiled the Desire 820, the company’s latest phablet at the IFA 2014 as expected. It has the 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display, similar to the Desire 816, but this is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor ( four Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz per core and four clocked at 1.0 GHz) and has Adreno 405 GPU. Google and HTC are set to unveil an official keyboard case for an upcoming Nexus Tablet, as per a report from Android Police. The report cites information provided to the site from unnamed sources and states that HTC and Google will have different official accessories for the tablet known as the “Flounder” or “Volantis”.

HTC has announced Desire 510, the company’s latest smartphones in the desire series with 4G LTE connectivity. It is also the company’s first smartphone powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor based on 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 and has Adreno 306 GPU. It has 4.7 inch FWVGA screen, runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with HTC Sense UI on top, comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera without flash and a VGA front-facing camera. HTC confirms Desire 820 with Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core 64-bit SoC for IFA launch

HTC just confirmed that it would unveil the Desire 820, successor of the Desire 816 at its IFA 2014 event on September 4th 2014. The company has also teased the smartphone with an image that shows the smartphone’s front-facing camera sensor, blue colored rear shell and something that looks like a speaker grill, similar to the one on the Desire 816 smartphone. HTC device codenamed flounder appeared twice in May. Rumors about the HTC-made Nexus tablet condemned Volantis surfaced in June. Recently a HTC tablet running Android L has been spotted at Wi-Fi Alliance website that is believed to be the upcoming Nexus tablet. According to the certification, it has Broadcom BCM4345 WiFi Chip with dual-band WiFi. It also shows 3 separate model numbers: 0P8210000, 0P8220000, and 0P823000. AT&T will also carry HTC One (M8) for Windows in the US

However, it looks like the carrier’s exclusivity will not last long as AT&T has announced that the Windows version of the One (M8) will soon be available on its network. HTC has just announced the rumored HTC One (M8) for Windows smartphone running Windows Phone 8.1.1 with Cortana.  It has exactly the same design and specifications as the HTC One (M8), including a 5.0-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Full HD display, 2.3 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, Duo camera setup with a primary UltraPixel camera, secondary rear camera to capture depth information and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens.

It was unveiled for Japan’s KDDI as J Butterfly (HTL23) last month, today the company has officially unveiled the smartphone at an event in Japan. The HTC Butterfly 2 was also announced simultaneously in Taiwan. It has a 5-inch 1080p display, powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Sense 6 UI.
