Nexus One vs iPhone 3GS 3D Performance Comparison

The folks at a game development company Distinctive Developments have posted a cool video comparison of the Nexus One and iPhone 3GS.  In the video they compare the 3D performance (GPU -Graphics Processing Unit) of the two phones. They render the same game scenes on both the phones and test the frame rate and graphics. As you can see in the image below, the 3GS is doing 60 frames per second and the Nexus One is doing 31 frames per second.

At MWC 2010, we got a chance to play with the Google Nexus One  built by HTC . The phone is powered by a 1 Ghz Snapdragon processor which means that the phone is fast and snappy.  It runs on the latest version of the Android (2.1 Eclair) Operating System.

Google might bring Cheaper Nexus One to India

Google might be planning a Nexus One mini for India. They are planning to bring a cheaper cut down version of the Google Nexus One phone to India according Ankit from CNBC TV-18 who had a chance to interact with Google India MD Shailesh Rao .   Few days ago , Rao felt India was not smartphone friendly , perhaps he has grand plans to tackle that.

While the Search engine company from Mountain View , California might have sold only about 80,000 phones, it has certainly managed to successfully spin off a new mobile platform which is rising fast and has even shaken major mobile industry players including Apple , RIM in the USA. New Version Of Google Voice for iPhone and Palm WebOS Released

Today Google launched a new Google Voice mobile web app for iPhone OS 3.0 and higher and Palm Web OS devices. This feature rich new version of Google voice has made use of the new markup language HTML5. The new web app now lets you display your Google Voice number as the outbound caller ID (so return calls come back to your Google Voice number), send and receive text messages for free, and place international calls at Google Voice’s low rates.
