Asus Fonepad with 1.6 GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor, 32GB internal storage now available in India for Rs. 17999

Asus launched the Fonepad in India with 3G data support and voice calling capabilities back in April. Later the Fonepad was upgraded with a more powerful processor and 32GB internal storage in May. Now the new Fonepad is available from online retailer Flipkart. Apart from the processor and the internal memory, the new Fonepad has similar features including a 7-inch (1280 x 800 pixels) IPS display, 3-megapixel auto focus rear camera with 720p HD video recording, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). We reviewed the first Fonepad back in May. New Nexus 7 announced with Full HD display, Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU and Wireless Charging starting from $229

Google announced the new Nexus 7 today at an event in San Francisco where the updated Nexus 7 tablet was one of the main highlights of the event. We have seen plenty of leaks of this device including an unboxing so not much was left for the official announcement except for the confirmation of the specs , the pricing and launch date.  The biggest difference on this Nexus tablet is the update Full HD screen which makes it the highest resolution screen on a 7 inch tablet and also crushes the competition especially the iPad mini. It is the first tablet to run Android 4.3 out of the box which we have covered separately. The new Nexus 7 is marginally thinner than the first gen Nexus 7 and lighter too. It is slightly narrower than the previous model. Another big change is the move from Nvidia Tegra 3 to a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in terms of the internals. And yes it is still made by Asus. New Nexus 7 up for pre-order from Best Buy in the US, starts at $229.99

Best Buy, one of the popular online retailer in the U.S has put up the New Nexus 7 for pre-order at $229.99 and $269.99 for the 16GB and 32GB variants. Unboxing images and video of the device surfaced earlier today, now the images and the complete specifications of the tablet has been revealed in the official listing. It has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 10-finger capacitive touch screen IPS display with 178 degrees viewing angles at 320 ppi pixel density and scratch-resistant glass, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device also has a LED notification light below the display and has soft matte finish on the back. New Nexus 7 already gets unboxed and benchmarked

Google is going to announced the New Nexus 7 officially later today. We had already seen several leaks of the device, now Android Police has posted the unboxing images and video and benchmarks of the ASUS-made Google Nexus 7 tablet. The tablet has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 at 320 ppi pixel density, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 and runs on Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) (build JWR66N)out of the box. It is said to have a back made of matte soft touch plastic material similar to the Nexus 10. The CPU-Z details reveal that the tablet’s codename as razor. New Google Nexus 7 press shots leak again, shows off a new wallpaper

Earlier today evleaks leaked the press shots of the New Google Nexus 7. Now Android Police has leaked the press images of the tablet that shows off a new wallpaper. This might be the default wallpaper in the Android 4.3 says the website. Unlike the first Nexus 7 tablet, this has a LED notification light and a rear camera. It would also feature a SlimPort similar to the Nexus 4, but it lacks the pogo pins for the docking station that was present in last year’s Nexus 7. Looking at the leaked press shots, this tablet is also expected to come with a matte finish similar to the first Nexus 7. New Google Nexus 7 press image leaks ahead of announcement

The leaker @evleaks in back again with a press shot of the upcoming redesigned Google Nexus 7 made by Asus. The new Nexus 7 looks a lot thinner from the image but it is very hard to tell from the angle. You can see the front with the display with the onscreen buttons like on the current Nexus 7. On the rear you can see a relatively larger camera along with the Nexus branding. This is not the first time we are hearing about this product and it was leaked a lot in recent times.

Asus Padfone Infinity Benchmarks


Asus unveiled the Padfone Infinity, 3rd Padfone in the series back in Feburuary at the MWC 2013. It went on sale in Taiwan back in April. We brought you the unboxing of the device last month, here we have the benchmarks of the device. It is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz with Adreno 320 GPU. It runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean).

Nexus 7 successor surfaces, might feature a Snapdragon 600 processor

A code-named ASUS K009, with the FCC ID code MSQK009 was certified in the U.S last week. The tablet has also surfaced in the Bluetooth SIG listing last week that shows the front part of the tablet in a tiny image. Rumors of the second-gen Nexus 7 surfaced back in April, and Reuters revealed that the tablet would feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor instead of NVIDIA Tegra chip. Asus Padfone Infinity Unboxing

Asus announced the PadFone infinity which is the 3rd generation PadFone at MWC 2013 earlier this year in Barcelona. Now the handset has gone on sale in some markets such as Asus’s home market Taiwan. As you might be aware I am right now in Taipei for Computex 2013 and managed to get my hands on the Padfone Infinity which is currently on sale here for around 20990 Taiwanese dollars or Rs.40000 approx. Check out the unboxing video below featuring the HTC One and PadFone 2 as well. We managed to only get the phone part of the Padfone , the tablet part or the Padfone Station was not available.

ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 Photo Gallery

The ASUS MeMO Pad HD 7 was launched just a while ago, at a pre-Computex keynote in Taiwan. The 7 inch tablet’s main USP is the price, which at 129$ for the base version is a steal. Coming in vibrant colours, the MeMO Pad has a 7 inch 1280×800 IPS screen with good viewing angles, unlike the ASUS Fonepad. Powered by a MediaTek quadcore MT8125 chip, the MeMO Pad runs on Android 4.2 JellyBean, which is currently the latest version of the popular software. After the event, we were at the presentation area, and we have brought you some photos from there.

It has a 10.1-inch (2560 x 1600 pixels) LED backlit 10-point multi-touch IPS display with 178-degree wide viewing angles, powered by a 1.9GHz NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor with quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 CPU and 72-core GeForce GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). ASUS FonePad Note FHD 6 Photo Gallery

ASUS just announced the Fonepad Note FHD6 at a pre-Computex keynote in Taiwan today. The large device comes with a 6 inch full HD 1080p screen, and with a stylus in tow, this seems to be squarely aimed at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which might sport similar specifications and placement. Running on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean, it is powered by an Intel Z2560 chipset with a dual core 1.6 GHz processor and the PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU. Having witnessed the announcement at the event, we went to the demo area to take some photos of the device. While we were not allowed to go hands on with it, we were still able to take some handsome shots of the device, find them past the break.

It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800) HD IPS 10-point multi-touch display with 170-degree wide viewing angles, powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has Asus SonicMaster Audio Technology and Stereo Speakers for enhanced audio output.

It is powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 Clover Trail+ processor, has a 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200) WUXGA display and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixels auto focus rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. The company unveiled the MeMO Pad Smart with a 10.1-inch HD display earlier this year.
