On Jan 4th 2021, an article from the Heart Rhythm journal revealed that Apple’s new iPhone 12 and their MagSafe certified accessories could possibly interfere with implanted medical devices. Apple has acknowledged the issue, and has released a statement, sharing information on it.
Rumours of Apple’s entry into the augmented reality headset have been slowly been picking up steam now. The latest is a report from Mark Gurman, over at Bloomberg, who claims that Apple is planning to release a high-price, niche focused AR headset in 2022 before it releases a more mainstream AR glasses later on.

Popular Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has dropped some fresh rumours about the upcoming MacBook Pro laptops for 2021. In an investor note, Kuo revealed that Apple will be releasing a redesigned 14-inch and a 16-inch model with a flat edges all around, be powered by Apple Silicon inside, feature MagSafe charging and will not have the OLED touch bar.
New rumours from a Japanese Blog Mac Otakara have sprung up, claiming that Apple is planning to release their next generation AirPods Pro and 3rd generation iPhone SE in April 2021, based on information from Chinese suppliers.

Samsung will be the exclusive supplier of OLED panels used in two top-end iPhone 13 models that will launch later this year, according to a new report from THE ELEC in Korea. The report also says that all the four iPhone 13 models will use OLED display, however only the two top-tier or Pro models will come with low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) thin-film transistors (TFT) OLED panels made by Samsung Display and will also support 120Hz refresh rate. A few days ago, there were rumours of Apple planning to release their first ever self-driving car sometime in 2024. A new report from Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo now claims that these plans have been pushed back a few years and that Apple will probably only release a car in 2025-2027 at the earliest.

Global chip manufacturer TSMC has reportedly secured their first contract for their upcoming 3nm chip process, and the first customer is none other than Apple. The company has been contracted to manufacture Apple’s future M series SoCs that will power the Macbooks and iPads in the future.

Apple has released new software updates to iOS and iPadOS, adding new features such as support for Apple Fitness+ app with the Cardio fitness notifications, support for the newly released AirPods Max, ability to capture photos in Apple ProRAW on iPhone 12 Pro, privacy information for apps in the App Store and loads of bug fixes and improvements.
Apple has released a new software update to the Apple Watch, bringing the version number to WatchOS 7.2. This updates adds some very useful features such as Cardio fitness notifications and adds support for the Apple Fitness+ app, which was announced back in September. Along with this, there are also performance improvements and bug fixes.
Facebook has officially launched Collab, an experimental app for making collaborative music videos on the App store. Notably, the social media giant launched it as an invite-only-beta back in May.
