iPhone 13 said to come in 1TB storage variant

Apple is working on iPhone 13 and will reportedly come with up to 1TB storage for the first time. At present, the iPhone 12 comes with a 512GB storage capacity at max. However, there are no details about the variants, meaning if this will be the case across all the variants or just for the Pro Max variant. Apple TV app now available on Chromecast for Google TV devices and more

After announcing back in December 2020, that Apple TV app will be coming to the Google TV platform, the app has finally become available globally to download. The search engine giant also said that it would bring this to more Google TV devices in the upcoming days.

The Apple TV app will allow users access to original TV shows produced by Apple, along with movies and documentaries. The Apple TV app will be available to install from the Play Store, and once installed, it can be found in the Apps Tabs.

Google TV will also recommend some content, such as from the Apple TV app in the For You tab. In case, if you have an Apple TV+ subscription, users can watch their favorite TV show within the app.

Users in the US will be able to browse through Apple Originals in their personalised recommendations and search results. They will also able to ask Google Assistant to open the Apple TV app or play an Apple Original title. On top of that, they can add Apple Originals movies or shows to Watchlist as well. Google says these features will roll out globally in the coming months.

In addition to Chromecast with Google TV, the Apple TV app will also be available on Google TVs from Sony and TCL. Google is planning to roll out to more Android TV-powered devices in the coming months.

Apple to reportedly invest $3.6 billion in Kia motors for future Apple Car vehicle

Apple is reportedly entering into a partnership with South Korean car manufacturer Kia, for the production of their future electric vehicle – the Apple Car. The two companies may enter into a contract on February 17th and will start producing cars that will likely launch in 2024. Apple will also be working with Hyundai for the designing and developing for their first car, using their E-GMP battery electric vehicle (BEV) platform.

Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $111.4 billion, an all-time revenue record, which is up 21.3% YoY. It posted a net profit of $28.8 billion, up 29.7% YoY and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $1.68, up 35% YoY for the financial year Q1 2021 that ended December 26, 2020. During the earnings call Tim Cook said that Apple saw strong double-digit growth across every product category, and achieved all-time revenue records in each of the geographic segments.
