Back in 2019, there were rumours claiming that iPhones in 2021 will likely be completely port less. However, according to a new report from Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone 13 series will continue to use the Lightning port, and will also reportedly feature 120Hz displays and larger batteries built-in.
Apple is working on iPhone 13 and will reportedly come with up to 1TB storage for the first time. At present, the iPhone 12 comes with a 512GB storage capacity at max. However, there are no details about the variants, meaning if this will be the case across all the variants or just for the Pro Max variant. After announcing back in December 2020, that Apple TV app will be coming to the Google TV platform, the app has finally become available globally to download. The search engine giant also said that it would bring this to more Google TV devices in the upcoming days.
The Apple TV app will allow users access to original TV shows produced by Apple, along with movies and documentaries. The Apple TV app will be available to install from the Play Store, and once installed, it can be found in the Apps Tabs.
Google TV will also recommend some content, such as from the Apple TV app in the For You tab. In case, if you have an Apple TV+ subscription, users can watch their favorite TV show within the app.
Users in the US will be able to browse through Apple Originals in their personalised recommendations and search results. They will also able to ask Google Assistant to open the Apple TV app or play an Apple Original title. On top of that, they can add Apple Originals movies or shows to Watchlist as well. Google says these features will roll out globally in the coming months.
In addition to Chromecast with Google TV, the Apple TV app will also be available on Google TVs from Sony and TCL. Google is planning to roll out to more Android TV-powered devices in the coming months.
The race to release 5G capable smartphones is in full swing now, and Apple already begun looking into the next-generation cellular technology. According to a new job posting, Apple is looking to hire engineers and talent that will help in the development of next generation 6G cellular technologies.

Continuing their fight against Apple, Epic Games has filed an anti-trust lawsuit with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Competition this time, claiming that Apple has conducted in a behavior that is anti-competitive and harmful to the free market. Epic Games had previously filed lawsuits against Apple for similar allegations in the USA, Australia and UK.

Over the past few months, rumours of Apple working on a VR and AR headset has been heating up quite a bit. The latest report from The Information now reveals that the headset will cost a premium, around $3000, and will feature 8K displays, a powerful processor and loads of sensors and cameras.
Apple is reportedly entering into a partnership with South Korean car manufacturer Kia, for the production of their future electric vehicle – the Apple Car. The two companies may enter into a contract on February 17th and will start producing cars that will likely launch in 2024. Apple will also be working with Hyundai for the designing and developing for their first car, using their E-GMP battery electric vehicle (BEV) platform.
When the COVID-19 pandemic struck last year, iPhone users faced a rather unique problem, they couldn’t use Face ID to unlock their phone when wearing a mask. Apple is now rolling out an update that will allow users to unlock their iPhone by using Face ID with reduced security, as long as they are wearing an Apple Watch.

In their upcoming iOS and iPadOS update, Apple is bringing two new features called the Privacy nutrition label and App Tracking Transparency that will bring powerful controls to users over their data.
Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $111.4 billion, an all-time revenue record, which is up 21.3% YoY. It posted a net profit of $28.8 billion, up 29.7% YoY and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $1.68, up 35% YoY for the financial year Q1 2021 that ended December 26, 2020. During the earnings call Tim Cook said that Apple saw strong double-digit growth across every product category, and achieved all-time revenue records in each of the geographic segments.
