3rd gen Apple Silicon said to use TSMC’s 3nm technology, feature up to 40 cores

Apple’s foray into making desktop-class processor was highly successful with the launch of M1. The company is reportedly working on 2nd gen and 3rd gen processors that will succeed the 1st gen M1 chips that will be built on TSMC’s 5nm and 3nm process respectively, and they are expected to outperform the equivalent future chips from Intel.

Apple reports $20.6 billion profit in FY Q4 2021; doubles its business in India

Apple has reported quarterly revenue of $83.4 billion, an increase of 29% from a year ago, and setting a new quarter revenue record, despite larger-than-expected supply constraints. It posted a net profit of $20.6 billion, up 20.6% YoY and quarterly earnings per diluted share of $1.24 for the financial year Q4 2021 that ended September 25, 2021. Apple rolls out macOS 12 Monterey to compatible M1-based and Intel-based Macs

A few months ago, Apple unveiled the new version of their desktop and laptop operating system, called macOS Monterey. With it, Apple introduced loads of features such as a Safari redesign, Universal Control and more. After launching the new M1 MacBook Pro models, Apple has now begun rolling out macOS 12 Monterey to compatible M1-powered and Intel-powered Macs.

Apple said to release new MacBook Air with white bezels, new colours in 2022

With the launch of the new Apple M1 Pro and M1 Max processors last week, Apple refreshed their MacBook Pro lineup with major upgrades across the board. Apple introduces M1 Pro and M1 Max SoCs with up to 10-core CPU, up to 32-core GPU, ProRes support

Apple at its ‘Unleashed’ event announced M1 Pro and M1 Max, the next-generation chips and successor to last year’s M1 promises up to 70% faster CPU performance. The GPU in M1 Pro is up to 2x faster than M1, while M1 Max is up to 4x faster than M1, says Apple. These are still based on the 5nm process technology, but come with a system-on-a-chip (SoC) architecture featuring an unified memory, better performance per watt, and incredible power efficiency, along with increased memory bandwidth and capacity. Apple Music gets a new Voice Plan subscription tier with Siri integration for Rs. 49/month

At their Unleashed event today, Apple announced a new subscription tier for their Apple Music music streaming service, simply called the Voice Plan. Apple said to cut down iPhone 13 production due to ongoing chip shortage

Apple is a company that is well known to maintain excellent supply chains for their products, however it looks even they can’t escape the chip shortage problems that is affecting the world now.
