Apple said to be working on iMac with M3 chip, Apple Watch with satellite connectivity

Rumours about iMac Pro with Apple Silicon launching in 2023 surfaced last month, thanks to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. We already know that Apple it set to launch several products with the M2 chip for later this year. Now, in his Power-On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says that Apple is already testing its M3 chip for the next iMac.

However, he said that it is not expected until the end of next year at the earliest. He also added that iMac Pro is still coming, but it just won’t be anytime soon.

Apple Watch with satellite connectivity?

We already heard that Apple is working on brining satellite connectivity to iPhone to send emergency text messages when out of cellular service range. Now Gurman says that the Apple Watch is also expected to get that functionality later this year next year.

This will work like Garmin inReach Explorer and SPOT, handheld satellite communicators that have similar features. Apple is said to be working with its satellite partner Globalstar Inc. for the feature.
