Sony has announced that they have started rolling out a new WALKMAN update (version 8.0.A.0.4) for the Z series devices that brings new playlist features. Sony updated all the media apps on these devices back in August and introduced “smart playlist” feature in the WALMAN app recently. Spotify has made its music streaming app free on Android, iPhone and iPad, that doesn’t require a premium subscription. Its new free offering lets you play any artist, album, or playlist in shuffle mode. Spotify is also expanding its reach to 20 new markets today, sadly India is not in the list. Twitter for Android has been updated to version 5.0.5 that brings a new design and lots of new features. This design is quite different from the v5.0 Beta that was released back in September. The new design brings a new tab in the navigation bar that lets you access DMs, view notification, search and go to settings. It is now also available for the iPhone and iPad on the app store. This is keeping up with the tradition of releasing their game on the most popular mobile platform(for games), as they had done the same with The Walking Dead. With cell shaded graphics and an amazingly immersive story line that changes based on the decisions you make, The Wolf Among Us seeks to continue the awesome story telling that TellTale is known for. It has received rave reviews from critics all around, and in the mobile form, the point and click game should be as good as how the Walking dead game was, or at least we hope.

Futuremark has updated the 3DMark app for iOS to version 1.2.0 that brings a new 64-bit version to test the new iOS devices with a 64-bit processor including the iPhone 5s, iPad Air and the iPad mini with Retina display. Scores from those devices will improve slightly with this update, says the company. Recently Futuremark started delisting Android devices with suspicious scores from the 3DMark charts. The company still continues to delist devices from the chart, which now applies to iOS devices as well, after the new update.
