Nokia HERE Maps for iPhone and iPad now available for download

 

Nokia announced  last week that they would launch HTML5-based HERE Maps app for Android and iOS. Now the HERE Maps is available for iPhone and iPad users.  This uses NAVTEQ mapping data and lets you explore and search places easily. It also offers live traffic view, public transport line, driving directions, voice navigation, option to save maps data for offline use and more.

Opera Mini 7.1 for BlackBerry and Java phones released, brings faster downloads

Opera has launched Opera Mini 7.1 for BlackBerry and Java phones that comes with a new download manager that offers faster downloads with server optimization for files lesser than 15MB and option to pause and resume downloads across sessions. Firefox for Android v17.0 update brings support for devices with ARMv6 processors


Mozilla has updated their Firefox browser for Android to version 17.0 that brings support for ARMv6 phones with at least 800MHZ processor and minimum 512MB RAM. With this update, more than 500 million Android phones including popular phones such as Samsung Galaxy Pro GT-B7510, HTC Status, HTC ChaCha, Samsung Galaxy Ace, Motorola XT531, and the Motorola Fire XT can run the Firefox Browser. CatchPlus difference spotting puzzle game launched for Android

CatchPlus is a new game for Android by Sioo Interactive Inc., a South Korean company that lets you spot the differences between two images. There are 3 modes, Classic mode, Speed Mode and Time attack mode. You can also go to CatchPlus Facebook page, and submit photos for inclusion as actual image puzzles within the game. Nimbuzz for Windows Phone updated with push notifications

Nimbuzz for Windows Phone has been updated to version 1.1.1 that brings push notifications finally. The updated app also brings auto save option for incoming images, faster startup time that offers better user experience and more. Nimbuzz for Windows Phone was launched back in July and lets you chat with friends on Facebook, GTalk, Yahoo Messenger and MSN/Live Messenger. You can also share images and connect to Twitter using the app.

Skype for Windows Phone 8 (Preview) now available


Microsoft unveiled a new Skype app for Windows Phone 8 devices couple of weeks back, now the preview version of the app is available for the Windows Phone 8 devices. Skype for Windows Phone 8 has been completely built from the ground up for better integration with the Windows Phone 8 and has a completely new UI, better notifications and more. The first Skype for Windows Phone app was launched back in February, and it was launched in Windows Phone Marketplace in April.
