Alternative app stores choices on Android to become easier to install soon

When Epic Games started a legal fight with Apple over the latter’s app store policies and high fee on app-store purchases, Epic Games also filed a lawsuit against Google on similar grounds. While Apple is fighting back against the lawsuit aggressively, Google is looking to make changes in their policies to make themselves appear less anti-competitive, announcing that they will be making it easier for users to select an alternative app store on Android 12.

WhatsApp testing “Expiring media” feature in Beta app

WhatsApp has released a new beta app version 2.20.201.1 for Android that contains a new feature they are testing – Expiring Media. The feature is said to work similar in ways to Snapchat and disappearing media in Telegram where received media will disappear after the user leaves the chat.

Google Pay India now supports Tap-to-pay feature via Axis bank and SBI VISA cards

Google has announced a new partnership with VISA that will enable direct card payments on the app via a Tap-to-pay feature, with support on AXIS bank and SBI cards at launch.
