Samsung had announced a deeper partnership with Google during its Samsung Unpacked event in February 2020. As part of this partnership, Samsung would have better integration with some of Google’s services and today they announced that a Flex-optimised version of the YouTube app will be available for the Galaxy Z Flip.

Fortnite finally available to download via Google Play Store

Epic Games, the developers of the popular Battle Royale game, Fortnite has finally relented and decided to make the game available for download via the Google Play Store. Epic Games had previously refused to release the game via the Play Store due to the high 30% cut that Google keeps for all in-app purchases.

Facebook buys 9.99% stake in Reliance Jio for Rs. 43,574 crore

Facebook today announced that it will buy 9.99% equity stake in Jio Platforms Limited, part of Reliance Industries Limited on a fully diluted basis for $5.7 billion or INR 43,574 crore, making Facebook its largest minority shareholder, the largest investment for a minority stake by a technology company anywhere in the world and the largest FDI in the technology sector in India. Netflix brings “Screen Lock” button for its Android app

Netflix has been rolling out a neat little feature to its android app users called Screen Lock, which as you might have guessed, locks the screen UI elements when viewing content on the app. It can helpful to prevent accidental screen touches that can sometimes lead to fast forwarding unnecessarily, skipping to the next episode or deactivate/activate subtitles.

Samsung launches Blood Pressure Monitoring App for the Galaxy Watches

Samsung’s Galaxy Watches will soon receive yet another functionality that will let users measure and track their blood pressure levels. The Samsung Health Monitor app will first launch on the Galaxy Watch Active 2, using its heart rate sensors to track the users blood pressure once its calibrated with a traditional cuff.
