65000 Android phones shipped per day

Google’s Mobile Operating System – Android is certainly not a small player anymore . Over 65000 Android phones are being shipped per day according to a statement made by the company during a annual shareholder meeting .  We guess shipped means phones sent from factories to distribution points and might not indicate actual purchases by customers.  But that’s a pretty good number nonetheless  !

Sony Ericsson X10: Negatives and Conclusion!

I already told you some Things i really like about the Sony Ericsson X10, this huge white Android Device I’m currently trialing, thanks to Sony Ericsson Austria. All the positive Things I posted are rather expected and should be natural if you look at the Specs of the X10. Unfortunately, the X10 leaves a lot to be desired. I have trialed 3 Sony Ericsson Devices in the last few Months and none of them was good enough, that i’d actually consider buying it. The X10 is in that Line as well, although I think a lot can be corrected here with a gigantic Software Upgrade, which already brings me to my first Point:

Also the touch sensitive keys on the N1 get physical keys on the Desire. We know a lot of users might prefer the Desire over the N1 from our previous coverage. But we ask again Nexus One or Desire ? What speaks for the Sony Ericsson X10 ?

The Sony Ericsson X10 – a stylish, rather big Smartphone, that is supposed to save Sony Ericsson from a possible Disaster. At least thats how i felt, when i went to the Press Conference in Vienna, Austria in November 2009. I was lucky enough to score an Invite from their Press Department, and after seeing first Videos on the Internet i was .. excited? nervous? drooling? Pick whatever you like.

I had a very short Hands on Time with an early Prototype back then and it felt good. The Software needed some more Work and there were some Things that made it feel like a Prototype, but now I’m back with a Retail Unit and yes, i was very eager to try it once again and see how it performs in real Life. I’m going to break the X10 down in another good Thing/bad Thing Series, with Observations I made in the Time i had it. I was told that the Requests of X10’s are extremely high, so I’ll try to make the very Best of the Time i have it.
