Pixel Experience is amongst the popular AOSP based custom ROMs that aims towards providing a Pixel-like stock Android experience. It takes a no-bloat approach along with Pixel exclusive goodies to provide users pure vanilla Android experience. A couple of days back, Pixel Experience project developers released Android 11 based beta builds for various devices. We installed Android 11 based Pixel Experience on our POCO F1 unit, and here is our overview and first impression post to walk you through its features and installation procedure.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro was amongst the popular mid-range smartphones in 2019. It was the first smartphone in the segment to offer a Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 SoC, a 48MP camera setup, and more. The company recently rolled out Android 10 based MIUI 12 to its 2019 bestseller, Note 7 Pro. Its been a couple of months since Google announced Android 11, and the software on the Redmi Note 7 Pro might feel outdated to tech enthusiasts.

Google Assistant now lets users to schedule light timings

Google recently rolled out an update on Google Assistant that enables users to schedule lights on and off timings. Anyone who has a Google Home and smart lights know the drill. This feature allows users to schedule a smart home command to trigger at a later time. Get Android 11 on Redmi Note 8/8T with Extended UI 2.0

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 8 in India almost a year back. The smartphone recently started receiving Android 10 based MIUI 12 update in several regions including India. Though Google, a couple of months back, officially announced Android 11, some users of Redmi Note 8 – which was the best-selling Android smartphone in the first quarter, are yet to receive Android 10 update on their devices (we too have not received the update on our device yet).

realme sold over 8.3 million devices during festive sales in India

realme today  announced that it has sold more than 8.3 million smartphones and AIoT products during realmeFestiveDays from October 15th to November 16th. Out of the total, 6.3 million were smartphones that includes 1.35 Million Narzo phones, 1.2+ Million C11 phones and 1.6 Million realme 7 series phones, witnessing a 20% growth compared to the festive season last year. OSOM by former Essential employees plans to release privacy-focused Android product in 2021

Essential, the company that introduced notches in the smartphone, is now no more. Founded by Android co-founder Andy Rubin, announced its closure earlier this year. The company’s only product, Essential Phone, sold poorly and received mixed reviews as well. Other promised devices operating system and home assistant never really materialised. OnePlus 8T Review

Keeping up with the tradition, OnePlus launched the ‘T’ version of the OnePlus 8 series in India a few weeks back. The OnePlus 8T is similarly spec’d as its predecessor, but, it carries few upgrades too – 65W charger, a 200mAh battery bump-up, 5MP macro camera, 2MP depth camera and 120Hz display. However, the upgrades becomes meaningful only if it’s implemented right.
