Xiaomi launched the Mi Max 2 smartphone with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage in India back in July for Rs. 16999. Last month it launched the 32GB storage version of the phone in the country for Rs. 14,999 and it offered it at an introductory price of Rs. 12999. Xiaomi launched its Mi Max 2 phablet in India last week for Rs. 16999 and the phone went on sale through Mi.com and Mi Home during Mi 3rd anniversary sale last week. Today from 10AM, the smartphone went on sale on Flipkart, Amazon, Tata CLiQ and Paytm mall online as well offline stores – Poorvika, BigC, Sangeetha, Croma, Lot, Vijay Sales, eZone and Reliance Digital. It packs the same 6.44-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display as the predecessor, but this has 0.7mm ultra narrow bezel on the side. It is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor, has an improved 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, 1.25μm pixel size, PDAF and dual-tone LED flash. Detailed specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 surfaced last week, now the first shots of the smartphone has surfaced enclosed in a transparent case. Sadly this doesn’t reveal the front part of the phone but it shows the back with a fingerprint sensor in the middle, 3.5mm audio jack, secondary microphone and an infrared sensor on the top, speaker grills and USB Type-C port on the bottom.

Specifications of Xiaomi Mi Max 2, the second-generation phablet surfaced back in February. Last week a Xiaomi smartphone condnamed Oxygen surfaced in benchmarks. This is said to come with the same 6.4-inch 1080p display, but this is said to be powered by Snapdragon 626 processor instead of Snapdragon 650 or 652 on the Mi Max variants.
